This has come from nowhere?? everybody is going crazy about it over here!! i own an ipod touch and i think it is absolutely fantastic, The i-pad looks great too, but using it as a phone... i dont think so lol

Some "less than reputable" individuals had a "bounty" out for any info which would help the "crack" this puppy before it was released.

I don't keep up on the new generation of "gadgets" anymore. I'll guess that I'll be learning about the iPad very soon.

It looks very cool and Apple usually does a good job with new products. I think it is meant to surf the web, use as a eBook, connect to social networks, use as a TV/DVR, use as a video phone (ala Skype) and more. I'm sure the tech geeks will be waiting on line for days when this is released.

It has nothing new tech wise, all of the features are available in other gadgets albeit not in one package. Personally, it really does not appeal to me.

I'll be getting one.I don't like to take my laptop travelling anymore.this would be perfect for the car and overnight trips.I've used something similar for photoshop.

SAN JOSE, Calif. — You have to wonder whether there were any women in the room when the marketing geniuses at Apple decided to call the company's new gadget the "iPad." Because the jokes about feminine hygiene products are flying. "Will women send their husbands to the Apple store to buy iPads?" went one joke on Twitter. And a "MadTV" comedy sketch from several years ago about an electronic sanitary napkin called the iPad went viral on YouTube.
