I'm looking for quick & delicious ideas for appetizers to serve my guests...Something new & tasty...They don't have to be fancy, just simple & wonderful to eat.

Hi Duchess....

If you have a good grill...even a portable electric grill will work....I do some killer bacon wrapped veggies. My favorite is to take peppered, thick cut bacon and wrap a slice around asparagus. I usually do this when I am grilling outside. I put the asparagus on the top rack of the grill and let it slowly cook while I am grilling my chicken, steaks or whatever. The asparagus will cook much quicker than the meat and I'll plate and serve the asparagus with some ranch dressing as an appetizer. I had friends who swore they didn't like asparagus who ate over 3 lbs of my bacon wrapped asparagus!!! It's out of this world!! One of the ladies then told me she didn't like smoked chicken that much...and she ate nearly a whole chicken by herself...she still gets teased about that!!!

Artichoke & Spinach pinwheels. I use won-ton wraps instead of puff pastry.

1- head of garlic roasted, cooled and pealed.
1- (10 oz.) pkg frozen chopped spinach (thawed)
1- (14 oz.) can chopped artichoke hearts
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 t. onion powder
1 t. garlic powder
1/2 t. freshly ground black pepper

1 use pkg's of won-ton wraps over 17oz pkg puff frozen pastry.

Mix all ingredients and spread over pastry.
Slice 1/2 inch pieces and place on cookie sheet.

Using wraps place tablespoon of ingredients inside won-ton wrap and fold corners up.

If you want: Wrap in plastic wrap. Freeze 30 minutes (or up to 3 months).

Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen

I know it is a bit late, however My favorite of all time is:

Bacon & Scallops wrapped Sirloins.

You fillet Bay Scallops "Not Sea Scallops"
You fillet the Sirloin 2 times the size of the Scallop
Season the Sirloin and then roll and wrap a Bacon Strip around, Sear in a pan and then Bake to perfection!
