Is it capasitor or battery?

The "Capacitor" is a rechargeable energy storage unit....or a rechargeable battery

caps were used in the '90s and there were issues with some of them. the cap can be replaced with a rechargeable battery (what Seiko has been using for some 15 yrs now). any competent watchmaker can do it if you're not comfortable opening the watch

Yep. My kinetic Tuna had the original capacitor but had been swapped out for a Li Ion battery recently. Went from 3 days of reserve to a few months!
If it hasn't been replaced, it is well worth the upgrade. Only a few bucks and any watch repairer can handle it.
