New to the forum. I'm a hoarder of vintage watches. I've read that Angola made ladies watches with diamonds and precious stones. But info about this Chalet watch is REALLY hard to find. Any experts here?

The movement is marked Eloga 7 jewels. The case is marked 10K RGF.

Thanks for any info!

I'm no expert, but the info you've provided points to the watch being fairly inexpensive and the jewels on the dial most likely just glass.

The 10k rgp means it's gold plated and cheaply so with 10K being pretty much the lowest level of gold plating available. The reference to a 7 jeweled movement also indicates a low level of quality where the maker used the very least number of jewels they could in yhe movement.

In my mind it wouldn't make any sense to use precious stones on the dial and then cut corners on every other aspect of the watch. I suspect this was an affordable "blingy" watch back in its day and not worth much today.

Of course have this confirmed before dumping it in the trash but even sight unseen I really don't think it's worth anything
