This was posted on another forum by a person who sells watches on television. It was sent to me anonymously from someone. I am re-posting here for 1 REASON ONLY - because it mentions possible fixes to people who purchased one of these watches and is having problems with them. If you purchased one of these "reserve" automatic speedways and are now having problems please contact rebecca at Invicta on Monday and mention the announcement below and the promises of help mentioned below if needed.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Regarding any defective Automatic Speedway
Ok guys, this is more from me personally at this point, not anything really "official" as of yet.

Before I get into this, let me just say that this is BS. You should never have to expect any degree of defects from any Invicta at any price point, but especially not at nearly $1,000 and with such an exotic and highly touted movement.

I take this personally because I have dealt with D-D modified movements and have never seen an issue EVER, so knowing this, I excitedly worked all of you up to a fever-pitch over this exotic and expensive movement. Heck, I OWN watches with D-D modified movements that I paid well over $3,000 for that have performed flawlessly for YEARS, so I expected no less, especially given the history of perfection in the auto Speedway lineage.

I'm pissed and I'm merely the guy that sells 'em. So I completely undrstand how YOU feel as the ones who BOUGHT them.

Eyal is pissed too, let me assure you. He is out of the country right now, but we have talked about this. I'm very certain there will be some loud meetings between him and Dubois-Depraz over this.

He has asked me to work closely with Rebecca to get this resolved. Nothing can possibly be done right away because she will not even see the messages until at least Monday. I would expect that within a week, we should have some answers for you.

What should we expect? What can be done really except for Invicta to have you send them in (at no charge to you, of this I can assure you personally), and replace/repair as needed. Nothing can be done overnight, so there will be a wait. But really...what else is there that can be done. So this is what I would expect... maybe Rebecca has a better solution... I don't know.

Just know that I feel for you, and I totally understand your level of expectation when buying a Reserve Collection time piece, and totally understand your level of frustration about all of this. All I can say is "I'm Sorry" although that means nothing in the grand scheme of things... but as the guy who sells 'em, not makes 'em... it's all I can offer. I offer also to stay on top of this and to help you as best I can as well as assist Eyal as best I can.

I saw this right after it was posted, elsewhere. I really hope that those who bought this watch "with issues" can get some speedy resolution. It's a gorgeous watch with an incredible movement . . . however there are some reported issues.

unfortunately watches are not like cars where there is a recall. I feel bad for all the people that have issues what ever they are. Iam now over 3 months waiting for a watch back that the subdial hand fell off. makes you wonder what there wait will be. Now I would ask for a refund.

Admission of a high end defective product from the salesmen and CEO! This validates a lot of complains from a lot of people.

We were on the fence about this watch and did not pull the trigger thanks to the words of caution in this forum about alternatives and options.

Eyal screaming and the host apologies are not enough here. They should offer a refund to those who want to back out from the purchase. Actually ShopNBC have 30 days to return the watch. From personal experience, God help them if they have to go through the Invicta Customer Service gun-let nickname the Abyss for good reason.

Senora Rebecca is going to be busy for the next three months trying to resolved this. Not sure how much she gets paid but it is not going to be enough.

As a product developer by education and profession, we can tell you that these quality and defective issues are the result of lacking in manufacturing processes. We know that these products are mass produced with cheap labor.

If the brand is going to be successful, it must now show prove beyond reasonable doubt that they follow basic quality standards above and beyond anyone else.

Basically in our view, this breaks the business model and for consumer products at this price range, it is more expeditious to move to a different brand.

We personally own several time pieces and we must give them high grades for marketing, innovation and price. Now they have a mess to clean. Clear and crisp communication with the community is just the first step.

Again, what a shame!

Best of luck to those who pull the trigger on this one and our deepest sympathy for your troubles. May they come to an end soon.

Yeap! The interesting part is going to be:

How will this impact the National Get Together?
How will the Sunday Run go?
Is the sales person still going to hype up the watches?
Are we going to see another campaign to get everyone back?
Is the host/sales person going to stand-up and make a statement?
How about the national brand manager?
What will the other brands do?

Stay tune, this is going to be like watching another reality show. The Watch Apprentice, Watch Survivor, American Watch Idol....maybe even Dancing with the watch, ...

Can wait to see how they recover from this one.

I posted this many times on the other forum before I got banned long ago.

My honest opinion is that in the end - they just don't care and to be honest, they wont care.

WG is a TINY TINY TINY blip of all the people buying from the TV shows. It is and anyone looking at things realistically knows that. Invicta sells hundreds of thousands of watches a year (to millions maybe). The members of their forum are only a tiny blip of those sales world wide.

I don't think they care at all. OF COURSE they will say the right stuff and try to cover it all up, but in the end it is all window dressing until the next big sale is on the TV shows.

This is common sense high volume sales thinking. They don't care in the long run. just a blip. They will refund the few people who bought this more expensive model or fix them and it will be forgotten.

Remember - their money and high volume sales ARE NOT these expensive models - it is the cheaper ones that make them all the money and they sell the most units of.

This is a blip in my opinion, lol. It will get talked about a bunch now, which makes sense, but in a month or 2, will be long long forgotten in the next over hyped, over sold, mass produced newest great model.

Such a shame...

I foresee a great deal of damage control, that will be implemented within the quality control division... I do think, they have a chance to recover, however it's going to take awhile...

I still think it's a real shame, cause all of these issues could have been easily avoided... IMHO

If I could give them, a little advice?

Man I wish they would get their crap together!I used to really be a big fan till I sent them a watch to fix.Their quality control and customer service are a joke.Even if these customers send their watches to Invicta hoping to get these NEW watches fixed they might be in for a rude awakening.I also don't believe they send them overseas to be fixed either.I just think they are so backed up with repairs that it takes awhile to try and catch up.They say they have to go back overseas because they are swiss made but much bigger names than Invicta have service centers in the U.S..I think they just use it as an excuse to explain why it takes so long. They have even told customers with non swiss made watches that they had to go back to Switzerland.Eyal got a deal on those movements for a reason.

TV Dinner,

Time is the cure or redemption to all illness and sins. Having said that. it is also the most valuable resource. Lets see how the expanded customer base reacts to this.
Word will get out and it will be interesting to see what everyone else does.

We do not hate the brand. We love the innovative designs and enjoy the fun of wearing this type of looks. Lets see what happens this weekend. WG is taking a vote about this too.

Mark,

Believe or not we are still fans of the brand.

Recently, we had our SN III Rubber Strap cracking in less than a year.
We wore the crap out of dough.

Lucky enough it was the first watch we purchased from ShopNBC and as it turns out we purchased the protection plan so we submitted a claim.

We call the ShopNBC protection plan to find out the status of our repair since we sent the watch in, the person that answer told us that they were located in PA and the repair was going to be made in CT.

We do not have our SN III back yet, but they approved our claim and lets see what happens.

I used to be one of their BIGGEST fans but they screwed me over a little too much.I would love to be a fan of theirs again but they won't make right their wrong.Even with all the troubles I have had with them I wanted that Speedway BAD.I just thought that 50MM is too big for that design.Too big for me anyway.Every time I think about caving in and buying another Invicta crap like this issue come up.I'm taking it as a sign!

I honestly have had a tough go at "letting go" of the Invicta brand as a whole. I still look into my watch box and/or winder and see some Invicta watches. With that being said . . . I am proud of myself as this TTV was the FIRST SERIOUS temptation to buy ANOTHER Invicta product. Ultimately, I stood my ground and "passed". I am so glad that I did.

I simply do NOT have the internal wherewithall to handle the disappointment and anger that can come from buying ANOTHER defective watch from ShopNBC, specifically an Invicta! Honestly, I ask myself why I would put myself through that process when there are so many other brands to be had . . . brands in which you receive the watch and it's . . . wait . . . PERFECT! Go figure! :lol
