I remember his character from "Growing Pains". I had to look up a photo of him to refresh my memory as to who he was. That's too bad. Suicide is a terrible thing. My prayers go out to his family as they will be the most impacted by this. I have responded on many suicides in my day and they are always very hard to see. What a tragedy.

It is a shame that people with clinical depression have such a hard time getting the treatment that they need. Far too many end in tragedy.

I have never understood the act of suicide at all. It always seemed selfish to me because of the total devastation it leaves behind. I feel sorry for anyone that's in the position that they think suicide is their only way out. That's very sad to me! That's why I sell meds to help keep people from getting to that point! However, for some, no med in the world will work and then something tragic like this happens. My condolences to the family!

Condolences to his family. Fame is like a drug and is also fleeting. Enjoy it while it's there. Once it's gone perspectives have to be readjusted. Easier said than done. Just my two cents.

People like you & I never understand it because our lives are worth living, we have so much to live for...I think it's selfish too but, I've never felt abject despair either & that probably changes the equation considerably.
