An unusual Rolex automatic

Just as I spoke about the dead-seconds Hy Moser Esculape equipped with a Chezard 116 caliber, today I would like to underline the unusualness and rarity of the legendary Rolex Tru - Beat Ref. 6556 also equipped with a dead-seconds movement (Cal. 1040 - base 1030). It is a watch that has reached really important market prices and I don't think there are many specimens left with perfectly functioning mechanics; the cal. 1040 was (and is) in fact renowned for its fragility....let's say it really liked going under the watchmaker's knife...:(

Well the watch may be rare as well as very special Valerio, but thanks to
you we have these pictures, videos, and info all to ourselves. :D;) It is
great, but also something I think any watch fan, or watch freek appreciates. (y)
I know that I do, and I can't thank you enough for another day of learning
at your watch school !!! 📚🍎

You are right. Between the Oysterquartz (17000), the automatic in the Oysterquartz case (1530) and this one (6556) which is automatic but seen from the outside it looks like an Oysterquartz... perhaps they are the least seen Rolex among the Oyster cases.
