Which of these very cool divers would you prefer? both come with ss bracelets. The Alpina is 44mm and has a black dial and the Oris has a grey dial with a green bezel. Sorry, I can't figure out how to post stock pics from others and don't have one to share of my own. They cost about the same new...around 1075/1100 on Jomashop anyway.

Two beauties there Mesh !!

Now is that Oris this one by chance? ..Wow, always liked that. Would have to lean toward this by a hair. Looks different, but still traditional sir. :)

That is the exact Oris, Tom. Thanks for the pic!

It is a monster of a watch in terms of beauty and wrist presence. I wish that I could afford the titanium version. There would be no choice then.

Don't mention it ! Looks awesome sir.

The titanium would be amazing, but either the Alpina, or this stainless version of the Oris are pretty great too Nate !

Is the Alpina a chronograph?
It is a quartz though, right?
It's a nice looking piece, unusual because you don't see them that much.
Alpina does make good watches and is a sister brand to Frederique Constant. It comes in several different bezel colors, too.

The Oris is a big piece, the grey dial and green bezel look pretty good in photographs. I'd like to see one in person.

If you can pull off the size, I'd go with the Oris, only because I, personally, am not too keen on paying a lot for quartz watches. But that's just me. It may not be a big deal for you.

The Alpina is a nice size and that sucker does look pretty good, though. Plus, like I said, you don't see many of them either, while everyone seems to have an Oris diver. As an Alpina, if it were an automatic, it would probably be $1000 more.

Neither one of these is a dog, that's for sure. The deciding factor will be size and auto v. quartz. At least that's how I would feel.

I'm pretty sure this is the Alpina that Mesh is considering. It is an Automatic

Yeah, even though I made a boo-boo on which Alpina, I'm sticking with the Oris, too.

Although the quartz is pretty good looking.

Funny topic.. I was just in Grand Cayman and was looking at an Alpina diver auto on mesh, which they had for 30% off MRSP of $19XX and an Oris diver. The salesman was really all about the Oris, I just really liked the Oris's of several years ago better. I didn't have enough time as we were checking out all the watch stores we could, but I was really close to pulling the trigger on either the Alpina diver on a strap or the orange diver on mesh. The guy at the other store, Magnum Jewelers, was willing to sell me the Alpina auto diver on the rubber strap for $1050.
Pic borrowed from Alpina.

I dig them both. I like the orange accented alpina a lot. Think I would go Oris though. By the way strap changes on the Oris are n/a. I was concrrned anout that too but your not going to need it. The bracelet on the Oris might be the best out there in the market.
