I have an Alpha Seamaster homage that is dead. Any ideas on the movement inside? I found no markings on it to indicate the source. Or any recommendations on where to have it serviced? The case is too nice to let it sit useless.

If it is the 3 hand "seamaster", the movement is TY2806 I believe. The Seagull ST16 is virtually the same movement.

They are both interesting as they seem to be designed off of the Miyota 8215 with some additional "Seiko-like" features added giving them hacking and hand-winding capabilities.

Either way, you should be able to pick up a decent quality replacement movement for relatively cheap.
