Interesting strategy for Woot. I wonder if it's a successful strategy? Personally I don't get why the purchase has to be a big mystery so I guess I'm not too adventurous either. No sale.

There are some products on eBay such as a low cost 4GB flash drive that comes in several colors but you can't choose the color, what you get is a random color, and my response is WTF?

They just get a lot and need to sell. Do this with laptops sometimes too. They tell you the minimum specs you'll receive but not exact model. The price is worth the mystery.
