Please do not think this was meant to be a post of sorrow. Even though this was a rough year, Christmas time is a time of joy, happiness, and spending with those we love. I wanted this to be positive and what makes each of us happy. This is about each of us and which was the most memorable to us.

I dont think that at all just by the way you worded it shows you are in an ok place at the moment and a strong person. I also took it as a positive post and commend you on that.

Very heavy and heartfelt post Chester. A lot for you to deal with this past year. I am very sorry for your many loses. I can not imagine what this past year was like for you.
But you also spoke about an amazing thing you did as a younger person, something I find incredible considering your young age at the time. You should be very proud of what you did so long ago and how the experience has remained with you for all the years since.

My memorable Christmas story is pretty recent and almost exactly 3 years ago when on Christmas day my son Cole was born. The actual due date was Dec 22, but when that day came and went my wife and I knew the it would be on Christmas day. We just both know it.

On Christmas eve we went over to her brother's house for the annual full family get together that her family does each year. About 20 or more people come every single year for a huge meal. Then everyone goes home and comes right back again a few hours later early on Christmas morning for all the present opening and family time. Basically 2 full days of family stuff (and eating, lol). So that night my wife was literally ready to pop. But...nothing. We went to bed thinking that maybe we would make it through the next big day and everything on Christmas. We were wrong.

Around 4am my wife's water broke. Off to the hospital we went. Obviously we missed all of the morning X-Mas festivities, lol. Around 2:46pm our son was born and we received the greatest Christmas gift....ever.

This is the only Christmas Story I like to tell:

It was Christmas ever 1977, we had a very mild winter not alot of rain or even cold weather. My father who worked for Freightliner Corp, was riding his Brand new Harley too work every day. We had just moved here from Chicago and lived in a tiny house with no garage. My father had parked the bike outside, and the dog had woke me up barking at about 2:30 in the morning. I went too look at what the dog was barking at and it was two guys looking at my dads bike. I watched them for a minute and then they left, well being a nieve kid I had no Idea what they where doing so I went back too sleep.

It is now 3:15 and the dog woke me up again, not barking but licking my face, I thought he had too go to the bathroom so I got up and was going to let him out. He went strait to the window, so I looked out and you guessed it they where steeling the bike. I went into the bedroom to wake up my dad, but the last time I did that he jumped out of a dead sleep and was pounding my face in. My father was a snyper in Vietnam, and it was not a very wise thing to do "wake him up in a panic" so I just opened the door and yelled "Dad someone is trying to steel you bike".

I ran back to the window, and here came my mom and she opened the door and yelled "Put that bike down you mother FU$&ER" they where loading it the back of a van. It startled them and they dropped the bike, and believe it or not the bike fell on the kickstand upright. I went to the door and I got a stiff arm in the back of the head, it was my dad. He ran me over "*******" and I heard the van Spin the tires and then I here POP,POP,POP,POP it was my dad shooting his Colt 45 at the van. I looked up and my dad was in the middle of the street buck ass naked shooting his gun!!!:%

He walked back into the house, and back into the bedroom. I heard my mom on the phone with 911, and then about two minutes later the cops where at the house. Here is where it gets good, my father who was one of the meanest men I have ever met, was Pissed I mean Pissed!!! The police officer was arguing with my father about the gun asking him about a permit Blah,Blah,Blah and then I heard the cop say " You have no business Shooting that gun at anyone" My fathers reply tamed down version. " I dont give a Fu&* if it is You, The mayor the Fu*&ing preident or even God almighty himself you try to steel anything from me and I will FU*&ing put ahole in yer a$$ as well!!!:%

My father slammed the door in the cops face, and we all went back too bed. We opened gifts a couple hrs later, and at 10:00am the cops came back, and they found the guys, and they found the van. The bad news my father has hit one of the guys and he was in the hospital. My father was being arrested and was off to jail. My mom bailed my father out and he was never tried, the DA dropped the case.

Now there is a Story I will allways remember during the Holiday's. Rips wold has allways been quite eventfull!:%:%:%
