This belonged to my dad and I've just recently taken an interest in it. Come to find it is a very desirable watch to own. It runs about +20 seconds a day. A local jeweler guy said it didn't need servicing if it's running that good.

Oh nice, that is really something sir, just look at it ! o_O馃槻
You could find yourself getting lost in the details of this
stunner I think Tom. 馃槷:cool: Seriously, the case alone is
like an honest to goodness piece of art right?!

Between the look, decoration, and crown it鈥檚 crazy cool !
Then this dial mesmerized you with it鈥檚 epic style as well.
Man, and it鈥檚 all powered by a movement that really takes
your breath away too. Pretty incredible ! :D

It鈥檚 so neat that you are appreciating this beauty Tom.
Can鈥檛 thank you enough for letting us join in on the fun !!!

I find it interesting the case and the movement/dial are different brands with unique serial numbers. This is the way South Bends were made. The cases were outsourced to Star Watch Case Company. The serial numbers show they are from the same period.

That really IS interesting Tom, and yet another fascinating
thing about an already fascinating watch if you ask me. (y)馃榾

So was this unique to just South Bend sir? ..Or did other
watch companies do the same possibly?
