Default Upcoming Mod on the Armitron Adventure

As much as I enjoy my Armitron , I do not like that this model comes with a plastic crystal that is non removable and welded onto the case. It’s a shame cause it’s got a large sized READOUT and easy to read in all conditions . So at first I put on a protective film to ward of scratches , but it’s not a clear as I’d like . So after I modded my Timex Expedition Shock with a Sapphire using a UV glue to attach to the top mineral crystal and having such good results , I ordered a nice 37mm, 1.5 mm thick AR BLUE coated sapphire to do the same for this Armitron .

Once I get it I’ll post up the steps for the mod .

When I say UV glue , it’s the glue that many smart phones use to put it’s clear screen on the phone Touch base . It’s activated by UV light once you have it set , plus it’s super clear once set .

So essentially you are putting a screen save on you watch.

Where did you pick up the round flat crystal from?

What a neat, and insanely cool idea 1stiski ! Now this beauty
will be the way you always wanted it. Although it looks phenomenal
from here already. ..Going to be the best seeing how it all turns out !

Such an ingenious idea !

eBay , sapphire AR coated watch crystal , not a screen saver .
