This is good new for everyone who loves the Aircraft-8 Chrono. Normally priced at $640 dollars, it is currently on sale for $540.

This watch is gaining in popularity with watch collectors, so it is a great chance to get one for yourself.

Best,

Debaufre Watches

You may want to shoot an email direct to Debaufre and link this thread. They have been absent from the Watch Forums for quite a bit and may not be aware of the interest.

You do realise that all these threads that you are responding to have been inactive for many years - this one 5 years.

Most likely you're just power posting everywhere to get your post count up

I would like to rename the gaggle of newbies who come around and do this, I would call them "Drive By Shooters", spin around the corner, pump up one liner responses to reanimate Zombie threads to get their post count up, then put some clunker watch up on the F/S forum, then flee to never be seen again.

I’ve been holding back on this a bit. These ‘three word milk run replies’ are very irritating. WF must be far more popular than we think because apart from the one time watch peddlers, the ‘is this watch real?’ characters keep popping up. Barn find, yard sale, garage sale, given by an uncle or a thrift store buy. But it’s unavoidable I guess and the irritation brings nothing.

Because I’ve replied in a lot of threads that serves as an alarm bell: if emails from those threads start coming in, containing one to three word meaningless replies and spaced one minute apart, I know. A newbie that hasn’t introduced himself who is power posting. Even extending a ‘welcome’ to another new member as a first post. To me that is the bloody limit. Oops, there goes my blood pressure. Must have a lay down now

When I have to lay down, it's usually because I have half a bottle of Maker's Mark in me!

I think the part they miss is the fact that even if they make it to the required post count they have no credibility as a seller after their behaviour and are essentially sabotaging their own sale by being a douche.

The zombie thread revival is a weak attempt to fly under the radar by posting in dead threads. Sadly for these dipsticks posting in a dead thread floats it to the top where the whole forum sees them for who they are.

When I'm in a more philosophic mood (after half a bottle of hooch ), I often wonder just why those would-be members take the trouble to come to WF? Or is WF just one of dozens of forums they join to ask the "is this real" question or seek entry to the sales corner? I know forums with a post and member count that dwarfs WF so it would seem far more logical to try it there. Pardon the OT nature of all of this BTW.

I think a simple Google search answers your question.

When I search "Watch Forums" in my particular browser from my particular location the top 4 returns are all from the same forum (which is a size that can be a bit overwhelming for a new user) a Canadian specific site is number 5 and then WF.

They are simply choosing WF because it's a top hit that looks manageable.

Well have you ever! When I do a search WF comes up as #7. A UK forum is above that. Manageable and accessible because we are such a fine bunch of outstanding and friendly people!
