Default Hamilton's Khaki Aviation Pilot x Schott NYC

Hey guys, did you by chance check out the Hamilton Khaki Aviation
Pilot x Schott NYC?

Hamilton was chosen by the U.S. Army to produce reliable watches
during WWII. While Schott NYC was chosen to create quality flight
jackets at the same time.

This new watch will have a 46mm stainless steel case, 200 meter
WR, AR coated sapphire crystal, khaki green dial with light green
SLN coated hands, and markers, quality leather strap, and caliber
H-30 Swiss automatic. Along with special Schott NYC leather case.

Have a few pictures right here...

Timezone.com, and Hamilton with more for you...

I like the cutout in the hour hand revealing the 12 hour scale. Other than that, not a whole lot to get excited about here. They sure didn't have 46mm cases in WWII. Flat dull dial, slow movement and a very standard looking case. Different polishing techniques on the case is a plus. Nice crown guard. But I can't help but think that a large portion of that price is for that over hyped strap... Meh.

Think you are right Forza. The strap, and even packaging has to be
impacting the price at least a little.

Thought the dial was interesting in that it looked like it was sunray at
times, but then totally matte-like in other pictures. Oh, and yeah, the
case size definitely has been modernized that's for sure.

Love that cutout hour hand you mentioned too sir !

I'm not into pilot watches but find this one rather attractive.

Do people really care that its "...top grain, full aniline, lightweight steer hide leather" used for the strap?

It's definitely sharp looking that is for sure Steve.

Not sure how many people care about all of that detail with
the strap like you said though. You're right sir.

A T:
I'll take one of each.
Watch and jacket.

RR pal o mine offered me a heckkuva price on a 1949 992b RR
grade pocketwatch. Then an incisor tooth went S on me and had to
use the money I was gonna spend on the watch for dental bills.
Good for seller tho. Got $100.00 more from they buyer.
All's well that ends well like somebody said once.

Anybody know what Zenton M45's are selling for these days? The
ones woth Eta 2842-2 movements.

Art, I'm with you. ..Definitely would like one of each !!

You know what's funny too?! Is honestly didn't know about
Schott before this. But now know about them, and really
appreciate them, along with their terrific history.

Wow, that is too bad about the RR watch, but your tooth
probably thanks you for the decision I bet.

Oh, and P.S. Zenton still makes the M45's sir.

Totally get why you like that one Art !

They just look so cool honestly, and also look near invincible
build wise really. Then the pepsi theme kicks things up yet
one more level. It's extra impressive !

However, I know that pepsi Seiko is really impressive too,
and a ton of bang for the buck also there sir !!!

Nice looking, 200m WR, Check, 46mm case, uncheck!

They talk about great grandparents in the promo schtik, at 46mm case, this puppy is going to look like I'm wearing Great Grandpa's wind up bedside alarm clock on my 8" wrist, can't even imagine how this wide-open dial watch would look on a sub 7" wrist, a Circus Clowns Watch perhaps?

It looks pretty good to me! If they were MIA, I’d have to buy one!
