Default New Citizen Promaster Aqualand

Did anyone have a look at Citizen's latest Promaster Aqualand already?

Seems like the new watch will actually be seen a Baselworld this year, and
will have a 47mm stainless steel case, 200m WR, mineral crystal, helium
escape valve, and pepsi blue, and red, or all red diver's bezel. Then on top
of that, you have blue, or black dials with luminous hands, and markers,
Citizen in-house EcoDrive solar quartz caliber movement with rapid ascent
alarm, auto start dive mode, maximum depth memory, and power reserve
indicator. Then it looks like the watches will come with either a stainless steel
bracelet, or black, or blue rubber strap choice too.

Have some pictures for you...

Wow Tom, that blue version is a very handsome watch! I like everything about it bar the case size. A tad on the large side for me. I've owned a couple of Aqualand Pros in the past, great and reliable watches for the money and true to their depth rating.

What would you need a "Power Reserve" on an Eco-Drive for?? That's almost as useless a feature as the Helium Escape Valve!

Ha, ha, the first thing I thought of myself. I shook my head shrugged it off. I do love my Eco-Drive watches though.

Nice looking watches.
Agree on the unnecessary power reserve feature which clutters the dial somewhat

A T:
You just had to tempt me with an Aqualand didn't you? Perhaps you know of
my penchant for Citizens (5)?
If the IRS would only allow the Eagle to fly with my Refund Check!!!!

Pretty neat right everyone?!! It's going to be fun seeing
more of these later in the year.

Frans, you are so right sir ! That blue is extremely nice, but yeah,
size is up there too. ..I wonder if maybe that measurement comes
mainly because of all the pushers, crowns, and HEV. Might be 42,
or 43mm without everything.

Chaz, Bevo, and Reflex, was thinking about the power reserve thing
also to tell the truth. ..Could that possibly just be there because a
lot of people might not have the watch in the light enough, and
it shows how much charge is left?

K5, and Art, these really are so nice, and tempting, it's not even
funny. Citizen just always seems to have such a way of grabbing
your attention with their watches. ..The way that they mesh the
timeless with technological rocks !

Just was awesome hearing what you guys thought !!!

Love the honesty !

I had the black strap version of this watch.

It had a rather plastic-feeling strap and was actually quite short for a diving watch. I have a 7.5" wrist and I was near the end of the holes available.

If I remember correctly, the mineral crystal was flush with the bezel and that usually equals scratches for me. I have more than a handful of Citizen's, so I'm a fan for sure...especially their divers and Ecozilla variants. But in the end, I didn't feel like the quality was quite their with this one.

Citizen has had 100 years to getr their ducks in the water.
I'd expect no less from Citizen. I have another Citizen. The
EcoDrive that has the stem on the opposite side too.

Hey cool Worker ! That is something how you actually had one of
these in the collection already. ..Had thought this was the first time
being unveiled, but wow, you were way ahead of the curve, and thanks
for the awesome, and honest review too !!! Really gives us even
more insight, and a better feel for the watch.

Art, hearing that you have Citizens in your collection really is saying
something. Because I know you have phenomenal taste in watches,
and appreciate not only the watches, but history as well !
P.S...That other EcoDrive you have sounds so neat also !!!

If IRS would get off their keisters and mail my refund, I'd put it back into the
economy.
What tha heck am I talkin about?
The Citizen BN0150 Promaster Diver (not that the Aqualand is chopped liver)
The 151 has a 43mm case. The 150 is a 48mm case. No doubt a case expander
used on the 151.
Wifee is gonna be ticked of at my use of my half of refund check. A given!!!
But who got the FitBit she wanted for Christmas?

Art, think you deserve any one of these
Citizens to tell the truth. Or hey, why not all of them?!

P.S. We will just make sure, and keep your plans
between you, and all of us here, and stay in total
stealth mode.

I knew you'd have a stealth mode strategy.
One o those NJ strategies? It's hard to keep
the wifee from knowing my next watch buy.

You know what's probably best come
to think of it Art?! ..Being honest.

Citizens always give a lot of bang for the buck
anyway. So actually you are saving by picking
one up !

Wife will have already warmed up a retort to "saving money"
Her usual retort. "Don't buy the Aqualand and you can save
$758 bezillion dollars". Wimmen cramp my buying expertise!

This is gonna take some heavy duty planning. Convincing her
it's in the Timex Expedition price range! Easiest to get the
BN0150 Promaster South of $140.00 coin of the realm.

Funny stuff Art, but you know?! That BN0150 Promaster
really is reasonable, and has been calling your name for the
longest time. ..Would fit right into the collection, and make
both of you happy !!

AT,

Thanks for the heads up on the Citizens!
The red bezel and bracelet combo is right up my alley.

You got it Scott. ..Love that red bezel version as well !

Everything seems to team up perfectly with that one. From the bezel,
hands, and accents. To just neat texture, or tone of the dial, and bezel,
and all around finish !
