Has the Seiko "Alpinist" look about it, unfortunately doesn't have the Alpinist 200m WR, but the paltry 50m instead.

Eye candy pure n simple.
Luvin that green dial and coin edge bezel.
It ROCKS!!! Thanx for the heads up.
Lots more cool than my Bulova 96B230

Don't own the Seiko Alpinist, the 38mm case is a wee bit small for my 8" wrist, if it was 40mm, it would be in my collection tday!

I have a question, what is the 4th hand on this watch with the red half moon tip on it, is this watch a GMT?

They have started to reissue watches that were available in the early eighties. With a big crown. And added a few mm to the case. But the thing that makes me a bit disappointed is the fact that they have printed 'big crown' on the dial. Why? We can all see the watch has a big crown. They don't print 'small crown' on their other watches do they? It reminds me of all kind of gear from the past that was given the 'professional' label. Printing 'professional' on a photo camera doesn't make it professional. Just like printing 'vintage' on the dial of Steinhart watches doesn't make them vintage. In fact, just that very word turns me off. Just leave all those comments off the dial.

They should print "green dial" on there, too.

Got it, thanks! Ingenious method of adding a date complication without ruining the symmetry of the watch!

Ya, very cool. Oris likes the pointer complication. They use it for a few different purposes. Day, date, moon phase, etc.
