Default Customer Service Casio

I'm looking at getting a new watch, at work I need to be both local time and GMT aware. About 20 years ago I had picked up a Casio and it had some features useful for backpacking, but it died a few months out of warranty...10 years ago I got one of the Casio rugged watches that was solar and had a number of features. As I recall it was about $400. A few days out of warranty it died and when I called customer service they said a batch of bad capacitors were to blame and the power cell was probably gone. I asked if they were going to fix it and they told me it was not out of warranty. Annoyed I picked up a GMT watch but it's not intuitive enough for me like looking at digital for one time zone. I was looking a the Casio ga700sk-1a which looks to be inexpensive and it has another time zone. Any advice? Boschett and Reactor owner, quite happy with the service and just wish I could get the same from a large name brand.

Honestly sounds like that Casio has been on your radar Tiguy.
First it fits the GMT bill, and then is a watch that won't break the
bank, and is nearly unbreakable at the same time too ! That's a
shame though with those previous capacitors, and also power cells.
Every once in a while we hear stories like this, and it's more than a
little upsetting. ..But hopefully this new model in which you are
looking at will be fine. I bet it will !
