Default Back to the drawing board, on watch purchase.

Now that the Certina is ruled out due to the bracelet and strap not long enough for my 8" wrist.

I'm looking at a couple more in this price range.

Squale "Onda" blue dial diver.

Or the Oris BC3 Advanced, Day Date

I find both appealing, in completely different ways!

The Squale looks great. The wave dial and grey bezel look special. I've owned two Squale watches and the quality was nice. The Oris reminds me of an effective and boring G-shock...

Joma has the BC3 for like $599 right now. I like it! the Squale is nice as well, but IMO divers are all so similar and will always be around. The BC3 is a bit different and more unique. I'd do it for $599, but prob. go for the diver if the BC3 wasn't a sale price. My $.02

The Oris won't fit you. I have one. It barely fits my 7 1/2" wrist on the second hole. The watch deserves a bracelet anyway. So I'm currently looking for one that I think will do it justice.
