Default Reef Tiger Homage 50 Fathoms.

Ok, I have been eyeballing this watch on Amazon for quite some time.

Blancpain 50 Fathoms Homage....

44mm Case

22mm Lug width

Seiko NH35A movement (same as the 4R36)

Sapphire Crystal

Ceramic Bezel

WR 200m

This puppy is under $400 and seems like I would be keeping my pledge of no new expensive watch purchases.

Was undecided until I finally saw a Youtube video of it!

Push the blue bar to play, not the arrow!

Well, in the end its your call to live with. But I think that Davosa blows that thing away ! But I guess for twice the price it should.

For the same price as the Davosa I can get this on a Massdrop.

Don't care for the sloped bezel, the strap or the handset. But, that's me. IMO, I'm still with the Davosa.

According to the reviews on youtube, and elsewhere the Lume on the Davosa isn't that good.

I'm forgeting the expensive ones and going either with the Reef Tiger or something I know will be bulletproof, yet improved movement and stunning dial, the New Seiko Monster with the green/teal dial.

Nobody confuses the Monster with being a homage or rip off of any other watch design!

It looks really nice except at the 20 second mark of the video where the seconds hand is moving kind of odd. Probably the video itself. Love the blue /rode combo

Can't go wrong with the monster and best of all it's a Seiko

It's a hunt that I afraid at the ending will find the only dead prey, will be my wallet!

You never know though Chaz, because a few of those are actually pretty reasonable
it seems sir. So the wallet still might have a chance ! A small one, but still a chance.

So you for real this time Chaz ? Or will you have changed you mind again by the end of today ? It has been interesting... I love that Davosa. If I didn't just make two sizable buys. Sizable by my standards anyway, (Threads will be up as soon as I take pics) I would have bought that Davosa. Seems like the timing is never right. Oh well, time moves on...

It's a toss-up right now between the Blue Dial Davosa stainless, or the Monster, I'm going away this weekend and the earliest I can get the Monster is from Long Island watches, delivered on Thursday, but they want $645 for it, that's nuts, as much as I love the looks of it, it really isn't worth anything over about $500.

For another $150 I can get the Davosa Bluesy, delivered Thursday.

The Bronze two tone is nice, but not another $400 nice, and especially with a strap that won't fit my 8"wrist.

Yes, very nice... But to me, there is something about that bronze, a warmth if you will. Makes it magical...

True, but I'm not dropping $1,100 on a watch where the strap won't fit.
