Default Fake Watch company goes public.

The #1 rated quality rip off Rolex watch you can purchase is one from the vaunted NOOB factory.

I don't know how Rolex or these other high end Swiss companies allow them to operate without suing the crap out of them, yet here we are.

They even have a line of their watches on Amazon, with a cheesy looking crown to replace the Rolex Crown, and instead of Rolex, it say's NOOB!

Unbelievable!

There's a huge market for it, that's why. Cigarette kills lots of people and that we all know hurts others from 2nd hand smoke(children of smokers) and yet...

$800 for that Rolex copy? Steinhart, Invicta, Loreo, Squale, Citizen, Orient, Davosa, Ginault, etc., etc....should be outraged! Noob is taking their business away!

Interesting video about fake Rolex. Counterfeiters are getting better than ever it appears...

The problem is that the counterfeiters have gotten so good that we can no longer easily tell the difference.
I would not be surprised that many experienced collectors buy these fakes.
I've spotted a few over the years on forums where I can tell a watch is fake but just did not call the poster on it because I thought I'd just cause trouble.
Some forums simply do not tolerate discussion on fake watches also.

Another interesting video on an authentic vs. fake Rolex...

Homages man, there are plenty out there without having to buy fakes. Not for everyone and that's ok.

An experienced collector SHOULD know how to spot a fake Rolex, or at least do their homework to be able to spot a copy. Buy the seller, either AD or not. Those that are not smart with this kind of purchase, almost deserve a piece of shyte.

Nobody deserves a piece of shyte. Those who purposely buy true fakes, however...

I looked through the reviews, only one dude called them on being fakes, several of the reviewers attached photos of the watch they received, every one of them had "ROLEX" on the dial, they are only putting NOOB on the dial of the promo photos. WTF?

Some are reporting of the higher priced models that they are coming in the Green Rolex box???

The $270 models have a Miyota 8200 movement in them, I have one of those movements in a $50 Invicta, they are pieces of crap!

Of course, there are fake Rolex boxes. If one is to go that far to making complexly detailed fake watches, a simpler box is not that far-fetched. All to make money and take advantage of peoples desperate desire for vanity. Such is the world we live in.

Peruvian got them Chinese beat on this interesting video. I wouldn't mind Vice doing an investigative expose on fake high-end watches.
Bypass making fake watches and make fake currency instead...

What I can't believe is Amazon letting them sell these phony's right off their site, when right in the Q&A section of the sales page for a watch, the Dealer is telling them straight up the watch comes with the Rolex name right on the dial???

When I first saw the title I thought of Invicta and Doxa.

Well, all it takes nowadays is to change the brand logo/name and just about any watchmaker can copy a Rolex sub and call it an homage. This is a testament to the marketing power of Rolex. These very skilled and talented copiers would rather put their resources to use in something proven. Designs, marketing, perceived prestige, you name it, Rolex has done it! Why mess with something that's not broken and highly successful and charges an arm and a leg to obtain? Copiers drop the price to $800 and many will still buy it. It's much easier than starting a campaign like on Kickstarter etc.

Here is a Loreo. If I ask you if it's a Rolex you'll say no because it says LOREO as a brand front and center. From a distance, it will certainly look like a Rolex.

Honestly, this is a better watch than any Seiko 5 I've had and I've had plenty. It has a sapphire crystal, automatic movement with hacking and hand-wind and solid SS bracelet and end links. For the same price as a Seiko 5, around $70 delivered.

So, Let's say hypothetically that NOOB copied or "cheated" 95% of the watch. I said cheated as to vilify them. And let's say Ginault copied/cheated 90% of the watch, is Ginault the more righteous cheater err company and should they then be allowed to sell on Amazon? Invicta, Steinhart, Squale, Davosa, and many others someway somehow are copying the Rolex sub and simply putting their logo on the watch. It works! The Chinese are simply more blatant and brazen about it. It will sell and will sell plenty since it's only a fraction of the price of the genuine watch. Amazon is a business and they know what they are doing. They have people study this stuff and their true boss is the might $$$, make no mistake about it.

I saw a fellow riding a cable car in SF a week ago and he is wearing a Steinhart Ocean One, my first thought was cool, a watch enthusiast, lol.

^^^ Sure Amazon knows what they are doing. Selling fake goods. Participating in breaking the law, that's all. No other way to put it.

Oh yes, the law. Good read as to why this is happening...

"As watch lovers, our role is to be mindful of quality and integrity in a brand. Some people love the idea of a lower-priced timepiece with some favorable elements of a more expensive watch. Others seek pure originality in their designs, as they see that as the hallmark of a legitimately artistic brand."

Problem is, the watches that NOOB sells on Amazon when delivered, have Rolex on the dial, not Noob ! Those, are 100% copies, which I do believe still violates copyright law.

Well yes, that is a problem then. 100% copy and represented as such is wrong. Maybe they have surplus fake Rolex in their inventory? They probably figured that if one is willing to pay $800+ for a near 100% copy, why not just give them a surplus 100% fake and cut down on the manufacturing or rebadging of a watch with NOOB SEA logo.

The intriguing part now is what will Amazon do about it.
