Default Watch Gang - Anyone heard of or signed up?

Came across this website called watch gang. Basically it's a mystery box membership for watches. You have 3 possible memberships. A $29 a month, $99 a month, or $299 a month. You get a random watch everytime. Apparently if you sign up for the $299 a month you are eligible to receive a Glycine. A lot of the "confirmed" watches people have received I've never heard of. Just curious if anyone else has heard of this site or is a member. You get to keep every watch you receive monthly. It is not a renting or a loaner site.

I'm a bit weary of schemes like this but that's my nature. 299 a month is 3588 per year and the odds of receiving either a higher end watch or a watch I really like are unknown. I label that as slim. The Rolex lottery every week is just a puller of course. It's like those subscriptions for weekly boxes of vegetables with a recipy. A bit on the pricey side and you never know what you will get. We rather pick our veggies ourselves and go to the market for that. There are watch rental sites as well.

I was recently gifted the $299 monthly and got a Tellus Parentheses watch. It is different but nice with an ETA movement. Keeps time great. Maybe someone can tell us a little more. That is all I know about it.

They provide a good service for the price. You need to set your expectations, based on which tier that you choose as well as the fact that it is a random selection. Other than that, they provide solid value.

"I already have a box of clunkers" Words from our Chazzman.
And words to live by IMO.

My watch guy of 35 + years promises me he'll look thru his
cigar boxes full o clunkers and find a Seiko 6109 with a
Cushion case and breathe nu life into it for South of $250.00
His version of a "Recraft" I reckon.

He's got my Reactor in for adjustment of second hand on pivot.
Sec hand rubbing on crystal causing Reactor to stop sporadically.

Always something with watches. Jus like WIMMEN!!!!

All:
I referred to Wimmen.
I bought the wife (Big Tilder) a used chain saw from Craig's List
(hate to see her doing work intensive labor)
Bought it from "Lefty" on C L. Only used once he said. Go figger.

Update: I no longer belong to Watchgang. I did get a Lew&Heuy Spsctre, A Smith&Bradley with the ETA Elabore 2824 movement and a West End Imperable plus a few others that I traded on their FB page. I also got a Swiss Military Neptune with an ETA movement, which I traded. Most of the $29 are crap no brand and the $99 are a little better. I did get an An Blue Charlie auto. As of late most are not so great. That's why I no longer belong.
