Default Seiko slipped in between the Russians

I was with my wife yesterday shopping at the Commissary on Luke Air Force Base.

We hadn't gone into the BX there in a few years and we decided to take look in there as well. They had remodeled and update the entire store and it's even bigger inside then a Walmart.

I was shocked to see they actually had a firearm section selling handguns, shotguns, rifles and even ARS. Wow, how politically incorrect!

Meandered over to the vastly enlarged wristwatch section and found this beauty which I have been eyeballing for about a year now on the net.

Liked the way it looked, although the blue center of the dial is much more subdued then it looks in advertisements. Liked it none the less and while it listed for $280. with the sales price discount and my using the BX credit card, I walked out the door with it for $180. No sales tax on a military base!

This one sneaked in between the next Russian watch on the way!

That's pretty. I seriously don't need a chronograph right now just stopping by. I'm not looking at it right now.

Chazzman:
Did the BX watch section have any reportedly overpriced Seiko GS's by some
data now at $10K? And IMO overrpriced new Seiko 5's?
If I'm ever flush enuff of geetus ($10K) it'll be spent on a Speedie, a Sub, or a
Tudor. Or even a PAM. I like Seiko s much as the new WF but no $10K (reportedly)
Grand Seiko. I'm not hater of Seiko. I have 6.

I saw nothing high-end at the Luke BX, maybe the online store, and those prices are not a real deal!

That sounds like a really cool place Chaz, and it seems like they
have it all there. Very nice sir ! ..Actually saw this stunner
in a window of a store up here, and was in awe of the dial, and
just whole look honestly. It's very vintage feeling, but still cutting
edge at the same time.

That should keep you occupied until the Vostok comes in Chaz.
Really great get ! ..Huge congrats there to you !!!
