I have two Vostoks and I never wear either of them, in part because I replaced their silly (to me) stock bezels with aftermarket types, which I also don't care for. I stumbled across this and I'm going to give it a shot as nice little beater I needn't worry about. Let the waiting begin!

I ordered a canvas strap from longislandwatch.com and because my other Vostoks have 22mm lug width, I mindlessly ordered that size. Turns out this watch has 20mm lug width but in an odd turn of events, they shipped a 20mm by mistake! It just arrived.

You can get them on Amazon for about $22. They are great and comfortably fit my 8" wrist. ![]()

8 inch wrist is all we hear about you. You should be wearing Invicta 54 mm. They leave enough bracelet or strap to fit a 9" wrist. Read some of the experiences that people on this forum have had with these watches. Not the crap that's polluting your mind on you tube. Then, you might realize they're really not that great. You may have just got a good one. But mine certainly is not running like yours. People have received these with chunks of metal in them. Why do you think they sell them for $60. Have you read about their recent attempts to launch a nuclear powered missile. They just don't care. Test now, pick up the dead bodies later...

I have owned/own 4 Invictas, the current one I own is one of there Professional divers with the Seiko NH movement in it, it hacks/handwinds but still has really terrible lume and the hideous Mercedes hands making it look like a cheap Rolex knock Off, if I want to wear a Rolex Knock Off, I put on my high end knock-off that you couldn't tell the legit one from the fake without a jewelers loupe. My Scuba Dude was taken off my wrist for about 9 hours the day before yesterday when we went to a formal event and I wore my Longines LLD instead. When I put it back on it was running +3 After going in my pool and doing my daily workout with water dumbbells it has settled down to +-0 seconds, +-0 seconds without resetting it or hand-winding it for 10 days, that's better accuracy than a Seiko Spring Drive! Yet you call it crap, tell me, have you ever owned one or even seen one in the wild?

I'll trust the posts of many a freek that have received these watches with metal chips in them, got them wet and they expired, pulled the crown stems out etc. etc. If you actually read my post before you started your rant, you would have noticed the part where I stated that mine is certainly not running as well as yours. So yeah, I do own a Radio Room. Bought it cause I have Russian relatives. So I always get a good laugh out of them when they see what junk it is and make them read the Cyrillic on it as they all look at their Seiko's and tell me what a great country we have. ![]() Oh the horror ! I've made better bridge pieces on a manual lathe with a carbon steel tool. Hard to get excited about a motley movement like this that feels like the upside down garbage can screw down crown is falling off in your hand every time you wind it, has no quick change date and doesn't hack. How did you even set it up to be +/- 0 sec without stopping the second hand ??? ![]() ![]() |

You do know that crown stem on a Vostok, is designed to be that way, don't you? if you didn't you obviously didn't watch the videos I referenced. Yes, the watch doesn't hack, but you can back play the hands while in setting mode and let the second hand match the exact time as on my Satellite wave watch, same way you can do any Seiko non-hack, hand-wind Seiko 5 or Skx. That's how I ended up setting it, and it's running -+0 seconds a day, in ten days of wearing it. The movement is rough looking, but not any rougher looking then a Seiko SKX model, an Orient or even the one in the original Rolex sub. Perlage, polishing, and Geneva striping is only cosmetic, has nothing to do with how well the watch runs. You do know this movement is Inhouse and has 31 jewels, don't you? Rolex and Omega fanbois salivate over those terms on watches that cost north of $6K but somehow if on an $80 watch that is irrelevant! You do know that Vostok has improved their quality control and have made modest improvements on the Amphibias, for instance, the crown used to be chromed brass, now it's stainless steel. The only drawback on this watch which I admitted to was the lack of quick date set and the bi-directional bezel, which mine has already frozen up on me but at the proper 12 Oclock position. I never use the timing bezel anyways, so I don't give a shiit about that. I actually like this watch better then some I paid 6 times the price for, I like it so much, another model of it is on the way! ![]()

Still, own the Onda and appreciate it, but it isn't a comfortable daily beater like this one is!

Big congrats ahead of time sir !!!
Really like how Vostok is always adding cool new elements to their watches, and constantly making things new, and exciting Enrico. ![]() I mean look at that one you have on the way ! ![]() ![]() The bezel itself is excellent, and the combo with the dial is perfect ! |

Two months to the day since I ordered the Komandirskie, it has finally arrived. To be fair, the first one never made it all the way here, so the seller shipped a second.
It came with a very odd zulu strap I didn't care for. For now I've slapped on an olive nato I had lying around. That will change though. All in all, a pretty nice looking piece and quite different from Vostoks I've owned and/or seen. Curiously, its WR rating is 200m instead of the usual 100m for Komandirskie models. Anyway... pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() I wish they had surrounded the date window completely instead of only three sides but otherwise I like the overall design of the dial. We'll see if it hangs with Chazman's Russians in terms of accuracy... |

A good looking watch, why do most refer to them as "cheap Russian' is it price or quality?
