Default E.C.Andersson Denise

Just placed a pre-order for the Denise today. Iím a big fan of Micros and I have to say that ECA has definitely been my favourite for over six months now. Their styling is different and fresh but they donít take things too far and all their watches still have a Ďclassicí feel to them.

This is my third ECA after the original Calypso Sport and Calypso Arctic, both of which are amazing watches that take up all of my current wrist time.

The Denise pretty much has everything I love in a diver, not too big, a touch seventies styling and a black and orange colour scheme. The power reserve looks amazing sat in the middle of the dial and although not to everyoneís taste, I do like the fact that they have marketed the Denise as a tool watch and included the N on the bezel including instructions on how to use as a compass.

Whatís everyoneís thoughts?

Unusual shape from a brand I am not familiar with but I do like it and keep coming back for another look. The strap on that one is a great match for the watch, superb looking deployant clasp too. Enjoy.

The rubber strap and clasp is one of the best Iíve seen on a watch at this price point. Iím sure itíll live up to its pictures like their previous watches have. Iíll be sure to post some pictures once it arrives. Now for the long wait until July.

Now that thing's got some lugs...

I do like the looks of it. It's different in a good way. Many congrats to you.

I like the way the power reserve is incorporated.

Do you have to cut the strap to size it? I'm guessing so and that's maybe one thing I wouldn't be crazy about.

The one design element that I don't like is the "N" on the bezel. I've never cared for compass bezels.

Ooh nice ash.bez ! Haven't seen this. Big congrats !!!

Yo really have to love the way E.C. Andersson does things.

Like you said, they manage to create watches that are both
classic, and cutting edge all at once. Love both the small,
and big tweaks with the designs, and everything from the
bezels, and dials, to cases, case-backs, and straps honestly !

Even the power reserve, and clasps are highlights ash !!!

Iíve been told that it is a modified NE57 from Seikos premium range. I have asked them if this is right. Iím just waiting for a response.

Just in case anyone was wondering (as I know I was!) they have added an explanation to the name ĎDeniseí on their website. I think itís a cool idea.

Man I like that case, the bezel too. And that strap. I'm working on accepting the power reserve meter and you know what? I'm getting there.

Iím loving it all tbh. I think the PR meters colours compliment the dial perfectly. Adding a touch of colour without looking cluttered. Their designs just seem to be getting stronger and stronger. I can see this brand growing quite quickly if they carry on producing watches like they have.

ash.bez:
100 attaboys for Micro Brands.
For a long time my fave Micro was the Zenton M45 with Pepsi Bezel.
But I had a "Come to Armida moment" now I lust for an Armida.

ash.bez:
Wouldn't you classify the case as being a "cushion" case?

I would.

That gradient blue is great looking Ash, but your version is awesome there !

It's so classic, and sleek looking, and just fits the deisgn of the watch perfectly.

The whole design from unique dial, and bezel, to supercharged cushion case
like Art pointed out is out of this world !!!

Really like the blue gradient dial on that one.

I'd prefer it on the black rubber though....
