Default Just Ordered the Seiko SBDC053 62mas remake.

Made up my mind to purchase this watch instead of the black dial SBDC051 with bracelet. Already have quite a few black dial divers, but I also have a few blue dial ones also. This one really pops though and I like the sun burst blue dial instead of the matte black better.

Also this video where some guy modded out this watch to compare to the original 62MAS in comparison did it for me. Plan on putting modded hands on the watch and also ordering an Uncle Seiko waffle strap to fill out the blanks. This baby will look well on shark mesh as well!

Well done! I'm on the fence as well but not this year. Your post about modding the hands made me take a trip to the 'Bay and boy, I found uncharted territory to me. The 62MAS must be one of the most replicated/homage/modded Seikos there are! The 'WATER 150 PROOF - DIASHOCK 17 JEWELS' dial must be very easy to find Most of those homage mods are based on actual Seiko watches, making it very tempting to just order one.

Congratulations, they are such nice watches.

Some mods are interesting but don't do it for me - have fun with that one.

Got email from DHL it's arriving tomorrow, wow placed order from Gnomon late afternoon on Friday, and it's arriving from Singapore on Tuesday, most domestic order from U.S. watch sellers don't move that fast!

I’ll take a blue dial over a black one any day... Very nice!

You ever bond with this one Chaz ? Seems I remember that you were thinking of flipping it awhile back.

Hey, how the heck did I miss this one Chaz ! Another centerpiece
to a collection type watch, and yowza check out the skin diver feel
Really gives you that traditional diver vibe from years back, but also
manages to be somehow very modern, and different. Maybe it's the
majestic blue, or just Seiko sleekness. Either way, it's beautiful !

A giant belated congratulations to you sir !!!
