I have several watches that use the miyota 9015. 2 tisells, a deep blue, and a borealis. None of them are noisy.

Customer service from tisell is fantastic. Even with the time difference its always been less than a day between responses from them. Ive ordered an extra bracelet from them as well as link screws and shipping has always been fast.

May have to pull the trigger on this one. But I'm hesitant. Cause I totally got a lemon on the Steinhart which costed me about $800 CDN after duty.

I would put the Tisell right up there in quality on the same level of Steinhart, and the Soprod Movement you have had so many problems with is a little less proven then the Miyota 9015.

For $220 take the plunge, if you don't like it, you can get almost the same money back as you paid for it. I flipped a black dial no-date Tisell about a year ago, and broke even on the deal.

You saying the Miyota is a better movement? I always felt it was lower grade than the Soprod until I had all my issues.

"Better" is relative. Soprod and sellita are both ETA clones, and as far as I know very good movements. However, they are the same 28.8k bph as the miyots 9015 movement. The ETA and clones could be said to be regulated to a higher tolerance, but I'm not always sure its worth twice the price. Might depend on the watch.

I like the looks. I may get one for the price.

Enjoy the Journey

I have owned over 7 watches with the Miyota 9015 (or 90XX) movement in them, and collectively they have been much more accurate then the ETA 2824-2s, 2836s I have had, which have either been super accurate, or +15 to -15 a day, and every thing in between.

In fact the most accurate mechanical I have ever owned was a Citizen Signature Grand Classic that ran at +2 seconds, not a day, but a WEEK!

Had two Grand Classics, the one on the left was the +2 a week, and the black dial ran +3 a day.

WatchMedic likes this.
