Default Show your Samurai

I'm new to the Samurai. And to orange dials for that matter, but I'm impressed with this watch so far. Though I wish they offered a black non-textured dial.

I know some fellow 'Freeks have Samurais, share them here!

Orange has a special meaning in The Netherlands, it is connected to the House of Orange, and to the first Prince of Orange. All our athletes and teams are always clad in orange attire when competing in foreign or international sports events. The football teams when playing their ‘home’ matches. But this has nothing to do with your Seiko so pardon this hijack. When I can pull it off in time I will order my very first orange-dialled watch in a month or so.

Don't have one or any orange watch for that matter but surely someday. Nice looking Samurai watch but just too big for my wrist imho. Enjoy it! Nice pics!

I assume you're talking about that CREPAS. Maybe I should have started a "Bring out your orange!" thread. I have only two watches that woud qualify.

Though I do have a orange Borealis strap that could go on any number of watches..

Thanks! My pics are limited to my tripod-less iPhone but here is a shot of it on my not so large 7-1/14" wrist.

Looks good but my wrist is barely 7" and even less now that I've lost some wt. My sweet size is 38mm-40mm. Sharp looking watch.

Well put some weight back on! No wait... eat more sodium!

I hear you, even looking at my own pics, it does wear rather large on me too.

I'm 10 lbs from my ideal wt but that ideal wt is getting harder and harder to reach the older I get. Cholesterol and B/P are good though and I want to keep it that way. I'll just have to accept that I have a rather small wrist and I have to limit the size of my watches. Maybe a liquidation sale is in order down the line. Then maybe I can find an orange watch in my size.

Yep, the CREPAS. I have a couple of orange straps as well to match (partly) orange bezels. "Show me your orange!", is that what you are hinting at?

Thanks Steve. I only wish they offered a smooth finish dial in black, it’s a nice design IMO with handsome details that don’t need the added textures Seiko seem to continually offer of late.

Are you referring to the raised markers as I' m not sure I see a textured dial like Roarry's?

I was hoping to find a version with a black dial that has no texture ideally, but it seems they don’t offer one. Roarry’s sort of waffle pattern is pretty subtle though, good to see up close.

Nice collection you have. Curious did the original not have crown guards, or are they just obscured in this photo?
