Very nice, although I must say I like the looks of the Sumo much more than the Solar.

Agreed, not sure what you could modify to improve the look. Only thing I could see doing is changing the crytal and the bracelet, other than that why not modify a regualr sumo? Why pay the premium just to mod it? Sure Im missing something as Mark is a mad scientist, but I just dont see the point.

Andrema:
You are referring to the PADI SRP775 and 777 are you not? Or is
there a PADI Sumo?
Think the solar version will have either the V158 or V175 engine?
Nuther words, the Solar movements in the SCCO and SNE lines?
Confused in Malfunction Junction.

I don't understand what makes the Turtle, or these watches special to carry the PADI designation as they are only rated at 200 meters. Just crowds the dial IMO...

The average recreational SCUBA diver never goes much deeper then 10-20 meters, Most recreational scuba diving organizations set the maximum depth for a certified, experienced recreational divers breathing air at 130 feet.

So the need for anything beyond 200 meters is superfluous, the 1,000, 2,000 meter depth ratings for watches is for make believe bragging rights, since their owners would be dead before they got much past 200 meters.

Not so sure I want the Sumo PADI, while I like the dial, the Padi Turtle rides much more comfortably on my wrist then did my Blumo with it's 20mm bracelet and thicker case.

the finish on the sumo is sooooo much better than the turtle, especially on the dial.
if only they would reissue the sumo with a 22mm bracelet.

Looking to purchase a Seiko Blumo and came across this post on the Seiko Sumo PADI. What is the difference between the to watches and can anyone share the website to the Seiko Sumo PADI.

Thanks,
David

Default Seiko Padi line

The Padi Seikos are all great.
Just got a Seiko SUN065 Padi Kinetic and put it on a blue Nato.

This PADI comes with Sapphire crystal and is a GMT.
Awesome watch!

This is the only PADI I've seen that I liked. Sadly for me it's most likely too big for a 7" wrist.

Default Seiko Padi kinetic fitting 7 inch wrist

I have a 7 inch wrist and it fits great. No overhang on wrist bones whatsoever.
Timepiece is incredibly accurate.
Check it out, you will not be sorry you did.
