Default Omega's Seamaster 300M On Her Majesty's Secret Service watch

Hey everyone, did you have a look at Omega's new Seamaster 300M
On Her Majesty's Secret Service watch already?

It celebrates James Bond, and the movie On Her Majesty's Secret
Service's 50th Anniversary. With details like a 42mm stainless steel
case, 300m WR, AR coated domed sapphire crystal, unidirectional
rotating bezel with special ceramic ring, HEV, and 18K yellow gold
plate on the side with number too.

In addition, you also have a gun barrel spiral brushed effect black
PVD, and black ceramic dial with 18K yellow gold hands and indexes
coated with Super-LumiNova, Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer
Calibre 8800, along with sporty rubber strap, and nice packaging.

Just a few pictures...

I like the spiral. Not so much the plate.

So many watch brands are "celebrating" something these days, an event or past achievement in history... why not the first Bond movie?

I like Omegas and I like several Bond movies, but this seems silly, even bordering on tacky with that 007 plate. If you are a fanboy with somewhat deep pockets, have at it!

They can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned. Except price it out of the reach of the people like us that really want it.

You know it's funny guys, a lot of times I find myself going back,
and fourth on watches like this, or any watch in general really.

On the one hand, I see what the watches, or watch company, or
companies are trying to do, and appreciate the fact that they are
doing whatever that might be. (Like with this James Bond watch
here above).

However, then on the other hand I get that the watches aren't
always a home run, and the watch company, or companies don't
always do everything right.

It's really strange, and almost like a curse, but it's like there is
this battle between appreciation, and slight disappointment, but
appreciation always ends up winning in the end.

But one thing is usually for sure, and that is not liking the prices.
