THIS BELOW IS THE DARKSIDE, BUT NOT THE APOLLO 8 MENTIONED ABOVE, the Apollo 8 is very different cool Thanks for the link pete.

There's a great mvmnt in that hotrod but it's not legible in person. The ceramic is something case feels like titanium, nice. 2 thumbs up 4 the sailcloth and buckle, but it's just not easy to view time, much less the subs. Reminds me of a matte finished Audi, hot hot.

Boy oh boy Pete, this watch is a show stealer in every way !

The way it connects to the original with it's entire design is genius, and done
in such a fun way too. I mean you still have a classic feel, but the addition
of the colors, and out of this world dial, take this one to new heights. ..Omega
amazes honestly ! Thanks so much for the look, along with link !

The way they’ve skeleton-ised (?) the dial & that texture’s sick. i wish the Omega here would’ve had that in house. So cool.

Naa, black watches are not for me they look too much like a plastic Casio.

I wear them daily perhaps the comment a bit harsh. I do love Omega watches I have a 1960s moon watch (in need of repair) titanium yes, stainless steel yes any form of coating a big no.
Watches are jewelry and all black jewelry is not a good look, of course just my opinion.
That is the beauty of this hobby buy what you love and love what you buy.

Not really I love Omega as a brand that is steeped in history. I just have an aversion to black watches regardless of brand.
Just my honest opinion. I must admit that the Casio comparison was harsh and I apologise for that to the Omega and Casio lovers.

Love the Speedy but this one has too much detail for my liking. I also don't want to have to look at a moon-like surface every time I look at my watch.

i thought it was funny, a fun comment/opinion not mean, rude or harsh. There are black plastic Casio haters and i totally get that. i think Omega was brilliant to take on the Daniels coaxial escapement and can't understand why others haven't, also the moon landing was staged so that watch is a lie born in a conspiracy wrapped in an enigma, except for the enigma, and the staged conspiracy part.

No worries my friend....I was just playing with you...lol.
I also love Omega.... just being patient and want to pull the trigger on this model and not the above
model.

I actually prefer the look of the one you have just purchased, I have an early 60s Speedy hand cranker that my Dad gave to me years ago he used to work in it so it is looking really sorry for itself and the mechanism is jammed. When I have the funds it is my intention to bring it back to its former glory. I would love to get back on my wrist...

Yupp, definitely these are lifetime time pieces.
My father also gave me his 48 year old Constellation....keeps on going like the Energizer bunny! My 40th Anniversary Bond Seamaster that I purchased a his and hers in 1997 going 22 years of service also keeps on going. That is why I love the brand.

Cheers!
