My new (used) and first Rolex - a 2003 Explorer II. My buddy is saving for one of the newer Submariners in SS/gold. He sold me this watch for $2800, which is a pretty good deal as I'm seeing them go used on eBay for $3500 and up. Only flaws are a very small chip on the left side of the sapphire crystal and the left side of the cyclops. When I get brave, I may try to smooth those with a touch of diamond paste on a very small tipped object.
For you Rolex experts, is a gain of 11-13s/day too off? I know the COSC states +5 or -6, but this watch is about 2 years from its last servicing.
The newest 42mm Explorer II models are selling for $7750 @ my local AD - WOW!
