Guys, most, if not all of us use a screen/user name. My nick name is GoodWatch, I adopted this in 1999 when I became member #9 on T.U.R.F. My real name is Frans (often confused with Franz, the German version of my name).
What I would like to ask you it to state your nickname followed by your real name. The reason is that I find it a bit awkward addressing another member by his nickname. It creates distance. So it would give me great pleasure if you would state your real name. If you don't want to, just don't reply.
My nickname is "nikon" real is Derek.
Nickname comes from my one and only camera choice during my 40 odd years as a photojournalist. Simple really!
Cheers mate

zed073 because a 1973 Camaro Z28 was my first new car I bought when I was 18.
We Canadians say ZED for the letter Z but Americans say ZEE.
I'm a big car guy so thus the reason.
In this pic the orange 73 is the car. I have since passed it on to my son.
So the 1971 Camaro is now mine. The plates say it all.
And for all the car guys that say that's not a Z28 without the spoiler...well it's
a 1973 Camaro Type LT with the Z28 option. I bought it new. One of 51 in total produced.
Even fewer in that colour combo. It was the best $575 option(Z28) I ever spent on a car.
My user name, cabfrank, is a play on the wine, Cabernet Franc, often shortened to Cab Franc, and sometimes mis-pronounced as cabfrank. Plus my real name is Frank, I live and work in wine country, and it is an underappreciated wine that I love. I don't drive a cab.
Nothing tough to decipher here with my name. I like the nickname, "Mesh Guy" because I like the look of watches, particularly divers, on mesh bracelets. My real name is Nate or Nathan. Its not Nathaniel and kids didn't call me Nathaniel the cocker spaniel as a child. They didn't, they didn't, they didn't...and even if they did, it didn't bug me.
Nowadays, I'm often called Stryder by those who know me really well. If anyone would like to use Stryder, thats very cool with me, btw. I got that name because I can walk for miles at a time and start off every morning with a long one. Its nothing particularly impressive. I just walk more than most people I know.
Pallet Spoon comes from my ham-handed shadetree mechanic approach to working on my watches . There is a part in the watches geartrain called a pallet fork ... and someone commented once that I when I worked on my watches it looked more like a spoon than a fork ... and viola.
A good friend photoshopped the pic I use for my avatar.
My real name is Paul but you can call me "spoon" .
My WF nickname is bapackerfan, because I'm so proud of my home team, its place in NFL history, and its influence on Wisconsin culture that I think EVERYONE should "Be A Packerfan"!
My real name is Gary, my username was very simple to come up with I have worked in an office or been office based for most of my working life. That fact combined with my love of divers watches and I came up with desk_diver.
My desk diving is quite extreme though as on some days my Eco-Zilla is required.

Max is my real name but my nickname is Marc. Its all rather confusing but I didnt find out this fact until I was about 48 years old and applied for a Passport. My birth certificate was needed and I sent for it and it came back with Max as my first name. All this after I attended school, was in the air force and have Marc on all my degrees. I was named after my Grandfather on my Dads side and my mother hated the name. Nurses handwriting on the original birth certificate looked like Marc to her and she went with it. Always wondered how I had such an unusual name for our family and why I never saw my original birth certificate.
You can call me anything except late for cocktails.
N80 is meant to be a derivative of NATO. Long story but was forced to stop using the word NATO in my advertisements on eBay and forums or face legal action. My real name is Dustin Ross, and my close friends call me Roo, as in kangaroo. I never fully understood but I earned it on the basketball court.
My screen name EEE-O ELEVEN is a reference to the casino table game "craps"
Dealers will add a name or accent to a number since the tables can get loud
and numbers confused. The numbers seven and eleven can make or break your
game, but are often confused.Dealers help clear things up by saying "Yo-Eleven
or "EEE-O ELEVEN". Eleven is always a winner, seven is a losing roll. All this
learned from a very mis-spent youth..LOL
My name is Louis, but everyone just calls me Lou.........Cheers.
