Default Uploading and inserting pictures into posts

I love the new software on the site. I just have a couple of issues.

1. Cannot upload pictures to my CP photo section. I've seen Dons screen capture, but I don't get that on my computer. If I could post/upload pictures I would show you those buttons are missing.

2. Also, and this is just a request, would it be that difficult to put the "G" button back on the tool bar for inserting the pictures into a thread? That was super easy and bulletproof.

3. When I try to use the attachment icon in the toolbar, it not only posts a super small image, but also only allows me one attachment.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Mike, I've asked you this before.

What browser are you using?

Hey Don, I'm super sorry I didn't see this reply from you. I primarily use FF on my computer, or when I'm on the IPad or IPhone I've tried Safari, Dolphin (in desktop mode), and Chrome (also in desktop mode).

On all devices I am able to see my photos and albums in CP, but only the PC will let me copy/paste the line in BB below the photo. The other Devices let me use the attachment icon, but only allow for one picture to post in a thumbnail format.
I have not been able to upload to my pictures on any of them.
Sorry again for this delay. I just never saw it. Thanks again for your help.

Hi Mike, I can try to help you out as well. I was able to upload test images okay on my end. If possible, can you please describe which buttons you are missing?

Thanks,

+1 on on the "G" button. Only thing I truly miss from the old days.

The G button on the old software was located right in the compose post box.
So if you wanted to add photos from the gallery, you could just click on that and a window would pop up to add photos.
On the VB software you actually have to have two tabs open to load pics from gallery.

I've have never come across a feature like this on any of our VB forums but I talked to a tech and he found a feature that is similar to the gallery feature. He is going to test it out and get back to me on if it will work for the forum.

I'll keep you posted guys.

Hey guys,

Sorry about the delay. We are just finishing off testing the plug in on a test forum. I should have more information in a the next few days if we can implement it. This is not a normal feature for VB so it has been a bit tricky to test.

Much appreciated

If one were to hold the finger on an image, depending on the source perhaps, the iPad will pop a menu. You can save etc

In this case however, leaving the post to upload via FTP or whatever they use is
Going to result in errors and lost commentary

On the old site I had a custom "Gallery" built for the members. Basically our own photobucket or image gallery feature that each member could use to upload their watch pictures to the site.

Then when they made a post they could EASILY add pictures from their personal gallery by simply clicking on the "G" button and a pop up screen would come up allowing them to pick from their gallery images/image folders.

Basically the G feature was a way for members to access their images easier and NOT have to open up another browser tab, navigate to the separate gallery pages and access the image codes there (like it is now).

I had the "G" button custom coded and integrated directly into the posting options for everyone to use. It did only work with FF and IE when we changed software so if a new option is added it would be great if it worked with Chrome also since a lot of people using that browser now as well.

It was a FANTASTIC feature on the old site software and it would be great to see something similar here that allowed members to directly and easily access their custom image galleries we have on the site.

Thanks!
