Dear Mods
It seems I no longer see my sales posts on watchrecon. Did they stop supporting this forum?
Thanks
Brice

We are still on there. I just checked and all of our listings are there.

I've noticed Watchrecon tends to be a bit slow at times, and occasionally will list an item in the wrong category.

I see this sometimes, where the wrong pic will be tied to a listing. I only use FireFox, so I'm not sure if it's a browser thing or what...

Actually I think Brice is right. I only see his WUS listing for the Omega using a general search. If you sort by username then it comes up with the WF listing.

Even though I see the listings I just emailed my contact at Watch Recon to check and see if everything is pulling from this site to theirs like always. I will update in this thread once I hear back.

Really weird. If I search listing, only my WUS listings show up. I swear I'm not completely computer illiterate

The official response from WR:

Thanks for reaching out to me. This is actually the expected behavior. There are many duplicate listings of the same watch across different forums, so by default WatchRecon picks one to show in order to reduce clutter and create a better user experience.

If you turn on "include duplicates" in advanced options, you will be able to see all the listings everywhere. Alternatively, you can search by specific forums as well.

As posted above this is the reply I received

-----------
Hi James,
Thanks for reaching out to me, and I've also read the thread on WF. WatchRecon has been indexing WF listings just fine (I monitor this all the time), but because there are many duplicate listings of the same watch across different forums, by default WatchRecon picks one to show in order to reduce clutter and create a better user experience.
I will respond to the WF thread to clarify the situation and provide ways to customize the search behavior on WR.
Thanks,WatchRecon (Sammy)--------

So all of our listings on each site show, which we all know is a positive thing - I would recommend mixing up your reviews, adjusting titles on different sites, changing the order of images, etc. That was the system wont see an exact duplicate in 2 places and only show one.

This is Sammy at watchrecon. I would prefer sellers not to deliberately get listings for the same watch to appear on WatchRecon multiple times. From a regular user's point of view though, I believe seeing multiple listings of the same thing is not a good experience. If people want to see all listings, they can turn on the include-duplicate query option:
http://www.watchrecon.com/?include_duplicate=1
Also, when certain query constraints are applied, such as seller name or forum selections available under Advanced Options, watchrecon automatically disables this dedupping behavior without having to explicitly using the include-duplicate option. For example,
http://www.watchrecon.com/?user_name=drster
http://www.watchrecon.com/?source%5B%5D=WF
One of the things that I do for watchrecon is to balance the needs of buyers and sellers. I definitely recognize a UI design problem where users are not made aware of available advanced query options to customize the experience. Some options also should persist across searches as well.

It's interesting that implementing these advanced search features isn't the difficult part anymore -- it's figuring out how to meaningfully represent them on the user interface, for a large spectrum of user needs, that has me pulling my hair out. The problem is even more extreme on the mobile apps due to the limited screen real estate.

I welcome suggestions of course, and I appreciate everyone's understanding here. WF has been a big supporter of WatchRecon and it's nice to see discussions about it here.
