Default Like count.

Is there a reason why only the last three likes on any given post register?
The like counts never go past 3.

Many thanks in advance for your time regards Gary...

You’re talking about Tapatalk, right? I have wondered the same. You’ll have to ask them.

@robotazky
Yes Tapatalk, but I have used Tapatalk although not recently in other forums and it registered all the likes. Unless a recent update has caused it maybe due to a bug of some description.

Not really sure sir. Am hoping that maybe one of the Administrators
sees this, and can possibly answer your question. ..Otherwise maybe
I will PM them to let them know about the question you have.

Hey there,

Unfortunately, we have no control over Tapatalk or it's features. I'd recommend contacting their support team to get it corrected.

Don't mention it Gary. ..Just sent the PM, so they will either
post an answer here in your topic, or PM me, and I will get
back to you.

Edit*..Looks like they got back to you before I did above.

Wow, didn't even realize Desk !

Thank you, the Tapatalk like count used to work properly so I was a little unsure where the problem stemmed from.
But after having checked the Watch Freeks site I realised the problem was Tapatalk, perhaps down to a buggy update. I will raise the issue with them.

If they give you any update about the issue being with the site end, let us know. Things look ok from what I can see, but just in case

Thanks Kevin, the bizarre thing is I checked another forum via Tapatalk and the like count was fine there.

Lol! You got nothing to worry about for sure. You're a good forum member, contributor and you frequently give "like" to other members for their participation and contribution. To me, that's a great, generous, kind and easiest way to show acknowledgment and appreciation.

Having said that, others suck in that department. They frequent the site to show off their watches and hawk their used goods and that's about it. They don't comment, compliment others, introduce interesting topics, etc. Look at the profile and check the "like" given and "like" received.

I thot you were referring to the "like" comments on another forum
Not bragging and not complaining. I just hit 2,103 likes today.
Who doesn't like having a lotta "likes"? Certainly not me.

Likes? Can I ask why an adult would need a like? There are a couple of forums where the likes or thanked numbers are 8 times what the person posted in actual counts.

If someone likes or agrees with a post fine, if not who really cares? I suppose I look at this way, I am an adult and I do not care one way or another if someone finds a post I made agreeable.

Because this a community of like minded people getting together to share a love and passion for watches.
Personally I do like to share articles that I think most members will enjoy reading.
The like count is a guide to how well the article was received, so I know in future what subjects to post about.
If nobody cared there would not be a forum.

It's a social thing and you claim to not get it. Everybody likes to be liked no matter how old or how mature or immature they are. Children and adults like to be acknowledged for their contribution.

You've been here like nearly 9 years and has given 4 "likes" and has only received 151 "likes". Why did you even give 4 "likes" anyway? So, at least you know how easy it is to be kind, and courteous and show appreciation to fellow members. A quick simple click of the thumbs up icon and that's it.

I echo what d_d said as well.

There is no like option in the mobile view for this forum. For anyone bent out of shape. Some of us have the option of having a like button that we can't find on a 3 inch unreadable screen. Im pretty sure if you have to tell someone to like you it defeats the purpose. I also dislike confrontational people in a social forum. Why in the world would I be checking someone's like count when I could be checking out cool watches. Everyone enjoy the forum it's a fun one let's keep it that way.
