Our Straps are the art rendered unique by great deal of the work done by hand, dedicated to whom may love perfection, art, fashion, and history. Expertise and passion have always been at the heart of Malio straps

Always attentive to tradition and heritage but with one eye turned towards the fashion tastes. It is just this fusion of tenses, this cohesion between Tradition, fashion, present and heritage which characterises the design of Malio Straps. Our collections are represent a bridge between the past and the present… and keep on innovating.

From many years experiments, studies, Malio Strap has proved able as a new born, new comer to strike just the right balance between Needs , wants, culture, innovation and tradition, growth and respect for local roots. This balance supported by the raw materials which are very rare to found. unique natural setting of the region that is home to many rare leather materials.

Within the Handworks, an entire Team is assigned to the task of enriching, preserving, studying and sharing knowledge relating to history. Through its Heritage Gallery, along with the growth and journey devoted to nurturing the identity of a WristWatch straps artist for which each of its creation represents a concentrated blend of expertise and a powerful cultural symbol."

Specifications:

Strap Size - 22/22mm
Thickness - 4mm
Price - $117 with buckle

Thoughts and impressions: The Combat Canvas from Malio is an affordable option canvas strap. I have had the opportunity to review many canvas strap to date and at the $100 price point the offering from Mailo is as good as any on the market. The strap provided for review measures 22/22mm and is just under 4mm in overall thickness. The strap has raw edging adding to the vintage appearance. The strap is backed with cowhide which aids in level of comfort as compared to most folded canvas strap options on the market.

The lug portion of the strap is what makes Malio's canvas different from most. The leather backing can be folded over the outer edge of the strap and customized. I chose the Malio logo for review purposes but Malio informed me that initials for example could also be placed in this area personalizing the strap. My only real concern over this strap is the distressing. I do wonder if the green coloring was added during the distressing process and have concerns about color fade over time. However, I can report after a few months there have been no issues with the color and the strap has been extremely durable but will keep a close eye on this area. The provided signed buckle is high polished and is the screw in variety but overall is quite standard. The base strap price does not include a buckle but buckle options are available from Malio at an additional charge of $17.

If you are looking for a quality vintage looking canvas strap this may be the option to consider especially if keeping costs at a minimum is necessary. Thanks for reading and I look forward to your comments.

Nice review Mike. I'm not liking this one though, looks like it's dyed.

I see the point about looking dyed but it looks more vintage to me. Since that was (as the name implies) the intention, I think Malio did a very nice job here.

You might be right, I think the leather flaps at the lugs ste throwing me off as well. Reminds me of an old Swiss army Calvary watch and strap I had.

I agree Nate. The strap is very nice and for canvas whether truly vintage or not the price is reasonable. Thx for reading.
