Strap Description: (from website)
WotanCraft New WWII Series inherited the vintage military style.
Using our unique aging techniques and skills, WotanCraft pour the war spirits back into the straps.
Durable vintage leather, battle worn feeling and historical stamp, reminding you the very old days from these straps.

Strap specifications
Leather:
Italian Buffalo Leather

Width:
22/22mm
Length: 130/80mm
Thickness: 4mm
Keepers: 1 large ammo style keeper
Stiffness: scale 1-10 , 5 upon delivery
Stitching: vintage gold
Holes: round(5)
Buckle: vintage military roller buckle, sewn in
Price: $169 usd

Packaging:
Wotan Craft always provides the best packaging for straps. Cardboard sleeve in box, colored and printed to look like metal, on the inside a cotton material pouch with leather ends holds the strap and the submarine key chain as well.
What I like about this presentation is the box can be thrown away, but you can keep the pouch and store the strap in it when not on a watch, will keep it protected from the elements.

Thoughts and Impressions:
WotanCraft as usual, does not disappoint. The strap is made of beautiful and thick buffalo leather, has a nice grain to it and a slight distressing that I am sure will get better with more wear, giving it more character. The back is lined with a dark brown calf leather as well, and stamped by WotanCraft. The buckle is a sand blasted roller style buckle, which makes this watch look great on pilot or military style watches. The strap was a tad stiff at first, but broke in after about 2 hours of wearing it. The leather itself is very smooth and soft to the touch. The sides of the strap are are raw, adding to the "weathered" look. Stitch work is great, no glue spots, no areas where uneven. There is a miliatry type stamp on the end of the long side of the strap, and the over sized keeper is done with the X stitching on the back.
Overall, a fantastic strap, and one that will only keep looking better over time.

I took these photos as I noticed the stock photo from site looks alot different. While this is not exact, I believe they use photoshop, which can be misleading. While the strap is beautiful, not exactly what is pictured.

Thanks Don. Love the slight taper at the end and the buckle

Of course, the obvious question is why buy something deliberately distressed when you can buy the genuine WWII article already distressed for about the same price....like buying brand new pre-faded jeans

Nevertheless, I will eat my words when I buy something like this one day....great review as always...

Brad, your right it is like the ripped jeans thing in a sense and yes you can buy ammo straps , but this is premium leather they are using.. Soft and buttery. Not all ammo straps are like that because it depends on pouch they came from. Joe from SNPR does straps distressed like that too. It's about the look.

Fair enough! Vintage letter may not always be soft and buttery!

Don, excellent review ! Really is something how cool straps can be it seems. The look,

along with different design details like just that roller style buckle, or the stitchingfor

example are really phenomenal. Thanks for all of the information, and pictures of this.

It looks likea great strap, and was a great review of it.
