Strap was donated for review.

Please note: For reference purposes, the pictures below are taken on a 7.25 inch wrist.

About:

Gunny Straps is a fully hand made, hand finishing straps that is most suit but not limited for Panerai and any other big watches. It's all made by hand with help of small manual tools, so you might find some minor imperfection in it which is unavoidable for a handmade straps. Again, human is different from machine, so every strap is unique and have their own character, especially for manually distressed/vintaged one. If you expect a very precision, perfectly aligned machine-made strap, and perfectly color pattern similarity then you're in the wrong address, but if you're looking for an art strap, with individually numbered, with each its own unique character, then you're in the right place. Any other model also available as per request, not limited to one watch brand only.

Description of Strap:

NATO with vintage, thin, dry, and easy to scratch leather, very distressed style. WIthout metal rings, I replace all metal rings with leather, so this is all-leather nato.

Packaging:

The strap arrived in a padded envelope. Inside, the NATO strap was safely wrapped in a plastic pouch.

My Thoughts and Impressions:

First of all, this is myfourth Gunny Strap. When I was provided with the opportunity to review another one of their NATO models, I jumped at the chance. I have been very pleased with my previous purchases, so my expectations for theDistressed NATO strapwere very high.

This strap is another offering fromGunny's NATO Series of straps. At first glance, theDistressed NATO appears to be from years past. The strap has a fantastic vintagevintage appearance with distressed edges, leather keepers and a qualitybrushed stainless steel buckle. The leather utilized is very soft as well as pliable, with unfinished edges that enhance the vintage character of the strap. The stitching is well done, with straight, even and precise stitching. The Gunny strap appears to me to be made of vintage ammo pouch leather and is crafted to appear aged or worn. To me, this is a very good indication of the efforts and craftsmanship employed by the strap maker. All of these features combined add to the strap's vintage character and great compatability for vintage and flieger style watches.

As you can see in the photos, I have paired the strapup with my vintage Tudor"Snowflake". The finishing of thestrapdefinitely add a great vintage character to the watch and it matches nicely with thepatinaon the dial.Unlike many other leather NATO straps that are currently in the marketplace, the Gunny line is fairly thin. This allows the strap to wear very nicely on the wrist and does not have a thick or bulky appearance at the keepers.

As I have experienced with other Gunny products, the quality of the Distressed NATOstrap is supurb. This, coupled with the relatively low price as compared to similarly styled straps, makes this NATO strap an excellent value. I am very pleased with this fit and finish of this strap and I will definitely consider ordering anotherfrom Gunny Straps in the near future!

Thanks for reading ~ Mark

Thank You for another great review.
Gunny Straps nailed the distressed look for sure, excellent work G.S.
With the fine photography gotta say that superb strap was nearly lost amidst the "Snowflake." i do like the strap but honestly, that Tudor would knock any strap up a notch, great choice. For the $, style & apparent comfort it's a strap i'd pursue. Thanx again

Great review Mark.
Im not a huge fan of leather natos, but this one looks really soft and comfortable, and really does match the Tudor well.

If I ever pick up the Steinhart Ocean Vintage which is very similar in colors and looks to the Tudor, this is a strap I would consider for sure.

Love both of them! Thanks for the review.
I need a leather NATO for my LLD. I think it'd be a killer combo.

The LLD would look great on a nato IMO! They can probably do a black for you
