About Steveostraps Watchbands from company website:

Steveostraps was born in Surrey UK as a hobby in 2009. Each strap is handmade and takes approx 2 hours to make. The leathers are sourced from a wholesale supplier in Birmingham which gives Steveo a massive selection of textures and colors to work with. Being handmade means that no two straps will be identical, so you can be sure of an original watchband for your timepiece. Steveo produces a variety of styles and all are of top quality. Customers order from worldwide destinations but the majority of Steveo‚€™s work goes to USA and Asia. He produces aftermarket straps for Breitling, Panerai, Omega, Rolex, IWC, Swiss Legend, U Boat, Tag Heuer, Seiko etc., etc. Steveo looks forward to working with you to produce your ideal strap.

Straps donated for review.

Packaging:

The straps arrived at my home in a padded envelope. Inside the package, each strap was individually packed in its own Steveostraps branded envelope. Inside each package, the straps were nicely wrapped in tissue paper to protect it from any inadvertent scuffing and safe from damage during transit. As compared to other strap makers, this packaging is in line with my expectations and more than sufficient.

Standard Strap - "The Beast":
The first strap that I reviewed was "The Beast", which is part of Steveostraps "Standard" line. It is made out of distressed vintage leather, with minimal stitching. The leather is extremely soft and pliable brown leather, with one wide running keeper.

Style:

Length (mm): 135/85

Width (mm): 24/24

Thickness: 5mm

Stitching: Heavy Khaki (Tan)

Hole Style: Round

Buckle Type: Brushed Thumbnail, springbar

Tubes: None

Pricing:Standard $49 (Price includes straps and thumbnail buckles)

BUNDStrap - "Vintage Military":
The second strap that I reviewed was the "Vintage Military", which is part of Steveostraps "BUND" line. It is made out of new brown leather, which has been aged to give the strap a "vintage look". The leather is supple brown leather, with two keepers (one fixed and one running) as well as a"BUND style" leather wrist pad.

Style:

Length (mm): 135/85

Width (mm): 24/24

Thickness: 4mm

Stitching: Fawn, boxed ends.

Hole Style: Round

Buckle Type: Brushed Thumbnail, springbar

Tubes: No

Pricing:$51 (Price includes straps and thumbnail buckle)

My Thoughts and Impressions:
Both of these straps by Steveostraps are well crafted, with nice designs and good execution. They are both actually very different animals, so to speak - "The Beast" is intended to be a more rugged, minimalistic design. Where, the "Vintage Military" strap is more of a traditional strap. The execution of these two different approaches comes through in the final product for both of these straps. For both straps, the leather used is very soft as well as pliable, with unfinished edges that add a more rugged feel for each strap. Generally, the stitching is well done, with straight and even stitching.

The quality of his product is very nice, as well as the packaging and customer service received. This, coupled with their low price, makes these straps an excellent value. I am very pleased with how these straps look and feel on the wrist. Considering the price, you would be hard pressed to find a similar strap in the market with the same quality. In the future, I will definitely be considering Steveostraps for my strap needs!

Well done Steve!

Great review and pics. I've got straps from Steve before and he was great to work with, too.
