Packaging:

The strap arrived in a padded envelope. Inside, the strap was packaged in a dark brown cloth pouch with an open end. I am not a real big fan of elaborate packaging for straps, so this is perfectly acceptable.

Photos of strap:

This strap is part of Combat Strap's Leather series of straps. At first glance, the strap has a medium tan or light brown appearance and a nice pebbled texture along its entire surface. In addition, the strap's edges have been coated to match the leather's tone, which provides the strap with a nice, clean look as well as a refined appearance. With this being said, I believe that this strap lends itself to work in a variety of situations -- From being paired up with your favorite pair of jeans and a t-shirt to business casual situations.

The strap stitching is light brown with opened ends at the lugs. The hand stitching throughout the strap is precise and evenly applied. The photos below provide a closer look at Combat Strap's stitching as well as the nicely finished strap edges.

The fit and finish on this strap is excellent. The craftsmanship applied by Combat Straps to produce the tone, texture and feel of this strap is very nicely executed. The edges of the strap have precise cuts and the finished edges fit the overall feel of the watch and add a bit of refinement to the strap. When received, the strap is very comfortable on the wrist and has a nice, supple feel.

In the photo below you can see the strap's sealed edges at the lug ends. Within the lug holes the strap includes steel tubes, which is a very nice addition for watches that utilize lug bars or screws.

The strap comes with two keepers -- One fixed and one floating. Both are nicely sized at 10mm wide and each have a nice line detail along their edges. This adds a nice refinement to the strap as well as interest to an otherwise nondescript part of a strap.

For this strap, I selected a screwed-in Pre-Vendome or "Pre-V" buckle with a polished finish. The quality of the buckle is very nice and the finish works very nicely with the tone and overall appearance of the watch.

The following photos were taken with the strap mounted onto a Panerai Luminor Marina 104. The tone of the strap works very nicely with the watch and it looks perfectly at home when paired with the "Horween Cognac" strap and watch’s polished case finish.

Wrist Shots:

Please note: For reference purposes, the pictures below are taken on a 7.25 inch wrist.

My Thoughts and Impressions:

I found the quality and finishing of the Combat Straps "Horween Cognac" to be excellent. Most notably is the hand finishing of the strap and precise hand stitching on the strap, which really make it look fantastic in person.

So...If you are considering a new strap, I would definitely suggest take a closer look at the Combat Straps offerings. Please see the next post for examples of their other designs.

Well, that concludes my review …Thanks for reading and I look forward to your comments ~ Mark

Mark, these really seem extraordinary !!! :smile-thumb2: Aaron does some exceptional work. Holy cow ! You can definitely see the level of refinement is off the charts, and that the quality is on a super high level. Straps like these always seem so nice to me because they are able to somehow make beautiful watches even more beautiful ! Guess it's that extra dotted "I", and crossed "T" that is done that really makes the difference. Just is something the way the leather is colored, as well as put together. Evidently is unbelievably comfortable, and flows in both looks, and comfort. ..Hey, and even the pouch it comes in is great ! Could use that for sunglasses even ! :)

Terrific strap ! Terrific review Mark ! ..As always. Thanks so much !!!
