Default Timex & Nigel Cabourn's Referee Watch

Just seeing this new Timex. How about you guys?

The Timex & Nigel Cabourn Referee Watch pays tribute to the game
of soccer, or football. With a 40mm stainless steel case, domed acrylic
crystal, 50m WR, cream, and red dial meant to look like a referee's
stopwatch, quartz movement, etched case-back, and leather, and multi-
striped nylon straps too.

Check them out...

Saw these over at Worn & Wound, and Cabourn everyone...

Every time I read the word ‘soccer’ I cringe. Anyhoo, the dial is striking but useless as it static. About the designer, I know him from a stunning parka inspired by the garb worn by Sir Edmund Hillary. The price is stunning as well, 2,500 Pounds.

It's funny how the same game can be called by a different name by so
many different people, or countries right Frans?!

I just always thought it was soccer because people were socking the ball.

On the watch, have to admit the dial got me. ..Reminded me of one of
those Vostok Radio Rooms in lot of ways, and was just thinking how we
don't see referee watches every day.

Oh, and by the way, that is a cool coincidence with you knowing about
this designer, and that parka style of Sir Edmund Hillary !

Just looked for it after you mentioned it. ..This is it right?! Or at least a
couple of the versions right sir?! Very cool !!!

There’s also a blue version which I like best. It’s no coincidence however that I like that parka, this vintage inspired stuff is absolutely my ‘thing’. Edit: the yellow version is more than okay as well

I do acknowledge that I am among the members that make comments on pricing on a regular basis. Especially when it comes to watches. When I see a watch that I like, usually a re-edition by a well known brand my enthusiasm is sometimes curbed by unrealistic high pricing. Because I just cannot justify the purchase of a 5,000 Euro watch. Let alone the affordability. The same goes for this parka. Close to 3,000 Euro. Really?

You know what is always fascinating with the pricing too Frans. Is how you
would think the companies would want to have even more fans, and more
customers. Which a lower price would allow for.

It could be a watch, or a jacket, but just think how many more people
would think about, or be able to pick one up if the pricing was a little
more reasonable. ..I mean I guess if whatever product it is happens
to be is a limited edition they may not care that much. But in general
I think a lower price would actually attract more people in the end.

Think it's really interesting to think about, and talk about sir !
