Hey guys, this is Reese from NE TN and I am new to the forum.  I have been collecting watches for a couple of years and have acquired a small collection of mostly divers.  I have visited this site for watch info from time to time but just officially joined today.  I must say there is a wealth of horology knowledge here and you guys seem to be very friendly.  I have a few questions about the viperfish.  I have a few large divers including a jsar, ecozilla, orient m force, and g shock gx56, and was wondering how they compare with the viperfish in terms of size and wearability. Also, I am torn between the steel black dialed version and the pvd version with blue accents.  Was wondering if anyone has seen both of these in person and which one you would prefer as the black dial is out of stock and I would have to find one pre owned. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Reese

Welcome!!

As far as size, it's a little bigger than the ones you mentioned.
But because of the curve of the case, and the lugs if fits very well..

Check out a review if it here.

Also check out Zulutimezone.
They are sponsors here and I'm pretty sure they offer a WF discount.

Hi Reese

Nice to meet you. I have personally owned the Viperfish, JSAR, Ecozilla, Orient Mako XL and a few different G Shocks.

The Viperfish is a large and tall watch. Of those mentioned I would compare it most in size wise to the EcoZilla because of it's unique shape. They are different, but both are large, tall and have unique designs. The Viperfish is taller. Big watches

Hi Reese,

George from NFW here.....

First, thanks a bunch for your interest in the ViperFish.  It's been a very successful design for us, for sure. It's most definitely a chunky watch. But it sits very nicely on the wrist.  When I design our watches I'm a stickler for optimal wrist fit, comfort, and readability.

With your wrist being a 7.75" size, the ViperFish would work well for you.

It's not the type of dive watch that you'd wear with a suit or under a dress shirt's sleeve. Rather, it's more of a casual, chunky dive watch that quite a few guys really do wear when diving (as opposed to many dive watches which seem more suited to "desk diving").

WF members have a long-standing 20% discount at NFW and you'll also get free shipping within the U.S.  Feel free to use code NFW8TEN on our site at http://www.NFWonline.com , should you decide to get one.

And if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me directly.  I've been a bit slow at returning calls & emails lately since we were hit very hard by the recent hurricane. But we're back up to full speed & working hard to get caught up!

Thanks again,

George

Thanks George. I really like the black dial automatic but I see its out of stock. I am considering the black dial chrono but I usually prefer the three hand version. Thanks again for the info, its not every day that the owner of a company will directly respond to an online question. Great customer service!

Thanks for the kind words, fellas!

Greatly appreciated...

Also, please keep an eye on our "Specials" page in the NFW website's store.  Within the next couple days we'll be posting our annual Holiday Sale in the "Specials" area, with some very nice discounts on about 50 different models.

We rarely have "sales" but, hey, it's the Holiday Season so we gotta do it!
:l

Thanks again,

G

Great!  I think you'll like it a lot!  We've had a lot of orders coming in, so I'm glad to see a lot of people taking advantage of our sale...  Thanks for the order & enjoy.  And...... Welcome to The NFW Family!
