Hi there everyone. I love the site. Always wanted to join, finally did. With that said, I'm looking to buy the Azimuth Sea-Hum GMT. I would like to know any thoughts from owners of the watch. I'm looking for a rugged, heavy watch. I think the Sea-Hummis my watch. But I'd like to hear some experienced thoughts, good, bad, etc...

Thanks in advance:)

I know Tvdinner has one and absolute loves it.
I got to see his in person this past August and I feel it's worth the price.
An amazing watch.
I'm sure James will chime in when he sees this post.

Thanks for the info. I've been on a quest for a long time for a 'tough' watch that can go the distant with me. I've tried many, and many have failed. I heard the Sea-Hum is built like a tank.

If its the one on Recon I am surprised its still there. Great watch original case design excellent lume. If you want a big rugged watch that will fill the bill. Welcome to the forum too!

Thanks for the welcome. No the one on recon sold. I'm buying a new one. It will be my very first brand new watch. I've never been the first owner of a watch. I'm trying to decide between the blue dial or black as well.

It is A SERIOUS watch. Original all around and completely 100% bad ass.

I have the Azimuth Xtreme-1 Sea-Hum 3TZ Automatic (ref 510-00046)
45mm x 15.5mm
satin finished SS screw back case with unidirectional rotating dive bezel,
water resistant to 500 meters.
sapphire crystal and signed screw down crown.
blue dial has brightly fluorescent markers and Arabic numerals at three, six, and nine,
an independently adjustable GMT hand, and quickset date at four.
signed SS bracelet with fliplock deployant clasp,
ETA cal 2836 25 jewel automatic movement

From front to back this watch screams original and unique and cool.

This one -

Probably the best lum I have ever seen to be honest.

The one on Watch Recon - this one - http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=6326824&rid=0#msg_6326824 - was a crazy low deal. I have NEVER seen one sell for less then $1300. That was a tremendous deal for whoever got it.

Thanks for the pics. I came very close to getting the one on recon/TZ but I want the GMT version. I'll post pics once I make the purchase.

James , never paid attention to it till now, but isn't it kinda weird that the 24 hour time is redundant on the chapter ring and the bezel?

I don't think so.  The bezel will give you the 2nd(24hour) time zone and the inner chapter ring will give you the 1st(24hour) time zone or vice versa, much like my Base 22.

+1 - same thing I was told. That Glycine is stunningly nice.
