i have an old (1990's) citizen watch. its of great sentimental value. it has not worked for many years. i recently decided to get the battery replaced and it worked for a few days, then stopped again. it did all sorts of funky stuff when i tried to set it, and i've misplaced the manual. so i don't know if i just wore the battery out, because i left it in stopwatch mode, or if its not working right.

i can't seem to identify it from the numbers on the back (citizen's site does not recognize any of the numbers on the back) can someone here help?

thanks,
here's pics of the back and front

From a quick search, your watch is called what it says on the case back...
Citizen Quartz Intellectus Et Fortitudo. That was the model name.

I googled searched that and did find and exact one of yours.

Googling it has showed me they made a couple different models of these from the 80's and 90's , some with minute repeaters, different color dials, cases, etc. All were quartz.

I would search online. Your talking a watch over 20 years old, I doubt citizen would have one. But you could always call them and give them the model name and numbers and see if they have one on file.

Welcome to our forum Nfisheremti,
Your Citizen may just need a good cleaning , oiling, and tightening of screws in its movement to work. A decent watch repair place will probably do this for you for less that 100 dollars.
At very worst , it may need a new movement, but luckily watch movement replacements on quartzes are fairly simple. And a new movement on a citizen will likely cost less that 70 dollars for your watch. Putting one in is just a matter or putting the dial on right, and then putting on the hands.
If the watch has sentimental value , that would be a way of preserving the watch.
Regards
Rod
