Reviewer: Mike W. (UKWolfeman) Strap Being Reviewed: Prime Straps Caiman Crocodile and Cobra Company Website: http://www.primestraps.com/ Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/PrimeStraps?ref=ts Company Address: Prime Straps 4050 Manor Club Drive #303 Raleigh, NC 27612 (803) 840-4641 About/History (direct from website): "My name is Jeremy, I am the creator of Prime Straps and the designer of each piece. I began making watch straps and other small leather goods in early 2010. As a watch enthusiast and collector, I wanted my watches to reflect and match my personal style. I have always been artistic and creative, having spent many years drawing, painting and designing. Leather is an extremely versatile medium to work with. I am a completely self taught leatherworker, utilizing only hand tools. Every detail of each strap is completely designed and executed by me. From saddle stitching with two needles and hand burnishing edges to sanding, cutting, punching holes, stamping and branding. Each strap is built to the exact specifications of every client and done so with extreme care and precision. Prime Straps is a small, private studio, but the designs and products are limitless. I have built relationships with many different wholesalers allowing me access to very high quality hides and accessories. My product line and inventory will continue to grow and evolve over time so please come back often. Prime Straps is not associated with any watch company, nor do we endorse any. Any pictures of watches within the site are for demonstration purposes and are either from our personal collections or the watches of our clients." Croc Specifications: 22/22mm 140/90 mm thick Price: $169.00 USD Croc provided for review ![]() Croc photos thoughts and impressions:As many of our readers are aware I am a bracelet person first for my watches. I have been exposed to many croc and alligator straps over the last few years. Most instances I was left unimpressed as each tended to be either rigid, thin and just plain unsubstantial. Prime Straps has made me a believer that Croc straps can be supple/soft and also be very substantial. The Caiman Crocodile from Prime Straps is soft and pliable similar to a very nice calf leather and at 4.5mm in thickness is extremely substantial. The strap length is a personal preference as I like to have significant strap resting in the keepers. After significant wear over the past weeks since its arrival I have found this strap to be extremely comfortable and it appears it will be quite durable over the long haul. The Caiman Crocodile from Prime Straps will take any watch to a whole new level for certain. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cobra Specifications: 24/24mm (notched to 22/24mm) 136/89mm Price: < $140 USD Cobra purchased for review ![]() Cobra photos thoughts and impressions:I just wanted to give this strap a touch of exposure as it is very nice itself. I have never personally seen a snake skin strap before but have seen tons of other snake skin items such as boots and belts which all tended to be slightly corse. The Cobra strap for Prime Staps is very soft and definitely not corse. The Cobra measure is at 3mm in thickness. Prime Straps can also modify on hand inventory to meet your specifications. This is a 24mm strap and Prime Strap was able to notch the strap to 22mm as I intend to use it as a alternate look for my Offshore timepiece. I haven't worn this one yet but when the time comes I will report on the durability and comfort. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for reading and look forward to your comments.

Great looking straps Mike. Love the Croc, looks amazing. Not fond of the cobra myself really, just not my style though. Great review, looks like Prime has some very good straps.

That strap looks seriously nice on that watch. The thickness is a perfect match.. Do you think Jeremy at Prime Straps would do a strap with a curved end piece to fit the curvature of the watch case?

Hey Lorne my thoughts exactly and thought a review of his croc would show how much it can spice up a watch. Jeremy is a member here goes by J-Prime. Give him a PM as I'd be surprised if he couldn't.

So, I've got my crocodile (or it could be an alligator, I didn't ask). How do I peel it? Attachment: watchstrap.jpg (Downloaded 80 times)
