The newest dive buckle/strap system is truly the most comfortable rubber strap for Panerai. Not only it is a worry-free strap (it is so comfortable that you will often forget you are wearing a watch), it is built to take any abuse your adventurous life style can offer. Every Ted Su Dive buckle/strap is guaranteed for 2 years.                 My Thoughts and Impressions: I'm going to come right and say it I am a huge fan of the Dive Strap Company (begins with an I) that charges slightly over $100 for their rubber dive straps. Love them and don't like the price but the price doesn't prevent me from buying they are just plain worth it. So when I was looking around the web to see other dive straps that might be available I noticed Ted Su produces one with a very cool buckle. The original Dive Strap was canvas but Ted Su redesigned and is now using Polyurethane for this strap. The strap is extremely soft yet seems it will be durable and does not collect lint as silicone based straps always do. The strap comes with 2 keepers and a very cool buckle. The strap measures nearly 5mm at the thickest point and almost 2mm at the thinnest. The strap is specifically designed for Panerai watches but can easy be adapted to other brands. However, just be careful when choosing a watch for this strap as there can be issues if the lugs of the watch are thin and the lug holes are too close to the edges of the lugs. The holes on the Ted Su Dive Strap are larger than most allowing for a gap between strap and lug which could be visible looking from the sides of the case to the lug area if one is not careful. This strap does come with tubes in the lugs for greater durability in this area if one uses thin enough screw bars or spring bars to connect the strap to the case. The stainless steel buckle is a "seat belt style" deployant that secures firmly in place when engaged and is not coming of the wrist easily. The buckle itself gives this strap an uniqueness from the rest of available dive straps on the market. The buckle is assembled together using 4 flathead stainless steel screws. I find in this particular instance the buckle provides some wrist balance due to the case size of the watch modeling this strap. The buckle is massive at around 9.5mm in thickness. As far as comfort, which I believe is one of the biggest if not the biggest area to report, the Ted Su Dive Strap and Buckle is dead on as described by the company. It is extremely light weight and soft. I have almost forgetten that I have a strap on my wrist at times. So if you own a watch that has a significant case presence this strap and buckle could provide a really good combination. Also, a great alternative for those guys that hate cutting their straps or using standard buckles. If you need a 22mm version you can order a notched 22/24mm on the website. The only drawback that I can see is if you have over an 8 inch wrist you need not apply for this one. Ted Su needs to think about increasing the length to at least 135/80 if not slightly longer so guys with larger wrists can enjoy and also for those that would like to try it over a wet suit for diving which could be problematic at its current length. A 2 year warranty is a huge plus however. Thanks for reading and I look forward to your comments.

I've always liked Ted Su straps in canvas with the very cool buckle. I'm glad to see them branching out to other materials. Light weight and comfy is the way to go. I like owning some of the heavier watch cases but I always try to experiment with ways to "lighten the load" after a little while. I'm with you on the length though, Michael. Its got to be long to work for me. I hope they will offer straps in different lengths. I'm in for one if they do. Great review and outstanding pics, btw. Thanks!

I bought one of these thinking i was going to put it on my ploprof,and it would not fit. So then i thought i would put it on my deep blue pro aqua diver again would not fit Im trying to buy a watch so that I can use the strap. ( I think im going backwards LOL )

Great review Mike, and thanks for the video showing how the buckle actually works. I love the buckle, not crazy over the polyurethane strap, but it is an improvement over the canvas that was previously used.

Someone asked me about the indentation in the strap from buckling. It pretty much stays in the strap but that shows you how tightly it is secured. Plus when it is being worn you never see it.

It is definitely softer and not as thick.
