Well Hot Damn, always loved his watches but the lug to lug was just to long even for my 8" wrist but this baby is right up my ally. This might have to be a must have for me :)

From H2O Watches -

Please let me introduce to you the New Generation: H2O ORCA

We have listened very carefully during the last months to your voice in the WUS and the several, very active threads. We considered all your requests and ideas as much as possible for our new H2O ORCA watch system and have, of course, also included some DNA from the H2O Kalmar series.

In result H2O developed the all new H2O ORCA series including an innovative customization concept with user exchangeable inner & outer watch case.

The H2O ORCA Design:
The design and construction has been made entirely in-house by H2O with our own German engineer, who is a dive watch enthusiast since many years with over 24 dive watches and an active member of a German watch forum. We have developed for the H2O ORCA some unique patent pending solutions. As we are working with our own engineer we could speed up our developments and will extend the H2O ORCA system continuously. In short time we will receive our first CNC milling machine to be able to start manufacturing parts in our German office.

The H2O ORCA Concept:
Create a new look of your H2O ORCA watch within seconds by simply

inserting a new inner case with different dial and handset layout or
exchanging the outer case against one of our initial 5 outer case designs.

The H2O ORCA Main Features:

THINNER (13.50mm flat sapphire front glass / 15.50mm highly domed sapphire front glass)
SHORTER (51.00-54.00mm)
HARDER (hardened 316L / 7x harder compared to normal 316L)
5 different outer cases
2 different inner cases with flat or highly domed crystal
2 different 120-click bezel with sapphire or stainless steel inlay / each bezel and case could be combined (except H2O ORCA MONO case)
3 different dials incl. sandwich / 2 unique handsets
5mm thick, 2-sided (round+straight styling) bracelet with HEX-screws and highly decorated micro-adjustment clasp

The H2O ORCA Watch Cases - pictures above in post #2

We will start soon our attractive pre-order phase for a limited number of H2O ORCA watches. Stay tuned for more information on OceanicTime and our pages.

The content inside our posts will be update regularly to be your information reference.

Again, thank you very much! Without you this would have never happened!

Clemens
H2O watch Team

Vintage or Classic case with more standard.looking bezel, h2o regular hands, sapphire bezel insert, sandwich dial and highly domed crystal. I am signing up the second they open it up plus its hardened SS. Finally can have a h2o that has a case size and style I like ! I am stoked.

+1 on both points. i just couldn't ever warm up to the lugs on the Kalmar and that Dress has a more traditional lug design. loving the bezel (reminds me a bit of the MM600)

Wonder if that will be $250 or $999? Hopefully Clemons will post here soon with an update on the new model.

Case will be 44mm, bracelet 24mm linear. My guess on pricing would be between 899-999 if it even stays under 1k if he is going with top grade eta hardened case ratcheting clasp saph bezel that would be a bargain.

Now I'm interested because I really never liked the first H2O and its ridiculous, sorry weird, case lug design and overall size. Just coulsnt.
Now there are a few Orca models that I really like as they don't have the weird lugs :) and the dress maybe my favorite. I'm cleaning up my collection, sold several and am down from 20 to 13 so have a little room(well I do have a Grail on the way). :)
I was eyeballing a Aegir or the new Korsbek but could be swayed to the new original also German H20 if the price is right

I think it'll be the determining factor for many.
Hope it's priced right

Thanks for sharing.

Hi James,

THANK YOU very much for posting our H2O ORCA news! I just saw the news is spread around the WF and the world. I´m looking forward to all of your comments!

I hope you all like at least something we have prepared the last months. :-) We have listened carefully to the voice of the forums and our customers and we summarized the required changes for our new H2O ORCA series to: THINNER & SHORTER & HARDER

The outcome are 5 different watch cases which could be euipped with different inner cases and bezel. The inner and outer case could be changed by the customer even after purchase.

Let´s make a comparison against the Kalmar:

                    KALMAR                ORCA
Length:        59mm                   51-54mm
Height:         17.60mm              13.50mm

So at least all cases are achieving this goal. We also changed to HARDENED 316L for the outer case material. The hardeneing will be done in GERMANY by the market leader for this process. This company is used by MANY other watch companies as well.

The price will be short below the 4-digits, as the concept is not compareable to anything else in the market. On the other side the additional cases will priced very aggressive to enable everybody to really take advantage of the inner&outer case system. This will be the long-term system for H2O and we will, of course, extend the range even further. :-)

I don´t want to get my post looking like a brochure text, but when you work months on the concept and design you really get caught by it. :-)

Let me know your impressions!

Greetings to all WF out there!

Clemens

Genius...just genius. The most innovative concept I have seen in a long time. I hope to own one....with lots of interchangeable parts.
