I'm so tired of gas prices.

Drive too much.

They raise prices.

Drive too little.

They raise prices.

Problem is, the rest of the world is so thirsty for gas the U.S. has become one of the largest exporters of gasoline.

The oil companies are shipping it out as fast as it's made.

That Keystone pipeline from Canada isn't going to make a darn bit of difference.

Just make the oil companies richer.

Obama put the kibosh on that pipeline didn't he?

The price of gas hurts everyone except oil companies and those that get their lobbying dollars. People would have more disposable income and things would cost less if gas was reasonably priced. This seems pretty obvious...

I don't know why these idiots running the country don't see a seemingly easy to fix and work towards fixing it. Maybe making $100000s of a year and being set for life after a term makes them out of touch or uncaring. As people go into politics to make money, they clearly do not have everyone's best interests in mind, only their own. Makes you sick... It doesn't matter what party, most of them are this way, and the few that are righteous can't do anything against the system that these other aholes fight tooth and nail to protect.

The system seems so fundamentally messed up it will never be right. To think we have it better than most countries, at least lets you appreciate how much worse it can get.

There are plenty of technologies out there to reduce our dependence on oil, but OIL fights against making them financially viable.

Not to mention the trillions of dollars that the Chinese lend us to "protect" our oil interests. What a joke.

It is disgusting when you let yourself think about it. At what point do people stop working because they can't afford to go to work and no one can afford to pay for anything because it costs so much...

We (everyone) HAVE to be committed to alternative power source cars/transportation. Electric, hybrid, or whatever we MUST figure that out and fast.

For far to long (decades) the advancement of this has been slowed by the oil and car industries. I UNDERSTAND why this has happened and also understand the amount of current jobs at stake and infrastructure of our entire world would be effected. BUT the time has come to seriously and quickly advance alternative power source options for making our cars roll from point A to point B. I have said this for a while.

The electric cars are getting better looking but now we MUST support the technology and make it easier to use in our country.

The only good out of $5 gas is that it will force people to buy smaller cars and trucks, make them conserve, importing less oil, find alternative energy sources and change the dynamics of the auto industry. If the automakers know that gas will always be $4-5 then it gives them the direction to build smaller cars. I find it amazing when I go to Europe and see 95% small cars that are so neat by design. My bother lives in Italy and is going to buy a car that runs on methane gas and regular gas. They have to adapt due to $8 gas and the US needs to do the same. They also have great mass transit. I have a car that gets me 38 mpg because I want to conserve and been told gas prices would eventually be $4-5 as a normal price.I see people I know drive these big SUV's that they get 15 mpg and they are mostly single and they don't need it. They then complain how much they are spending for gas and that amazes me. Some people need larger cars and trucks because they have a large family or they need it for work but the majority don't need them but just want them. They made their choice and now live with it.
