I wanted to love these models...all I got from this is a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach and a little spit-up in my mouth.

Thanks James...

:)

Seriously though...what is the deal withthe open date window? I will not buy a watch for that feature alone! Let alone that crazy looking Big Pilot at the top...come on IWC, step up and give us a wearable watch!!

Arnie if you sell your entire collection, you might have enough to buy that IWC, and have enough left over for dinner for you and Linda at the Olive Garden...LOL

The Spitfire chrono is certainly pricey at $10700 but it is beautiful. The official IWC photos do a terrible job of capturing how gorgeous that dial is. They make it look very washed out when, in fact, it is quite deep and rich. And I don't know if the price is too terrible for an in-house movement with 68 hour reserve and flyback.
